A fabulous place to stay. Jason and Annie are just lovely. They have done a brilliant job of creating an exquisite luxurious Hotel. It seems an insult to call such a tasteful and stylish establishment a "B&B".It came as no surprise too hear that Jason and Annie come from creative backgrounds which is put to fabulous use throughout! It's all brand spanking new, sparkling clean, and with a fabulous choice of produce and dishes for breakfast. Jason was a brilliant host. Relaxed and chatty, who even baked a banana loaf for us to have with our coffees on arrival! Add to that, the picturesque town, quaint immaculate harbour and a handful of warm cosy pubs and you have the perfect place to stay. Did I mention the value for money? It's a steal and real value for your hard earned moolah ! We will be back for sure. Many thanks!

We have just come back from an overnight visit to Swain House, Watchet, what an experience. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to come back again soon. Our bedroom was really large and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was out of this world, especially the bath. Jason made us feel really welcome.

Swain House was the ideal escape. A beautifully modern restored building nestled in the middle of the old town. Our room was divine with a truly spectacular bathroom and large, comfy bed. Personal touches such as fresh muffins and a full English breakfast which kept us going all day! We truly loved our weekend away, Watchet and the surrounding area. Thanks to Jason for looking after us so well.

We are just back from a perfect weekend at Swain House in Watchet. It’s a beautiful town with lots to do; we spent a whole day on the West Somerset Railway which stops at the end of the road, ate in the great pubs and cafes, and did some lovely walking. It’s a great town for bird watching too! Our room was gorgeously decorated and of a generous size, beautiful big windows, real coffee, homemade muffins and a very comfy bed. The bathroom is very luxurious, with a super deep bath, REN products and one of my favourite showers of all time. Jason offered lots of advice about the area, and even made us dinner reservations. He also gave us lots of privacy, was flexible with breakfast times and offered a late check out. The breakfasts are particularly scrummy, with amazing options if you're a veggie. I would recommend it to anyone and can't wait to go back!

We booked a weekend away during September 2012, at Swain House in Watchet,Somerset. As soon as we entered Swain House, the exquisite decor was immediately evident and we knew we were in for a very special stay.We were greeted by Jason, who immediately offered us refreshments before taking us up to our rooms.Infact Jason had been extremely helpful even before our stay,I asked him to recommend somewhere for dinner and he not only telephoned me but also went to the trouble of emailing over a number of suitable restaurants/pubs.We ate at The Culbone, which I highly recommend.

Our bedroom was just delightful - spotlessly clean, with a gloriously comfortable king size bed and an ensuite bathroom that was quite simply one of the best we have ever experienced. Then there was the tray with cafetiere and "proper" coffee, teapot and sugar tongs. In the bedside cabinet there was even an Ipod docking station! It is the attention to detail that Jason and Annie have executed to perfection alongside considered and innovative design throughout the Swain House.

Watchet itself is a truely lovely harbour town, steeped in history with its own delightful Marina. It makes an excellent base to visit Somerset and indeed Devon. We would recommend Swain House unreservedly to anyone and are already planning a return visit.

Thankfully we found this gem before we booked anywhere else! Gorgeous renovation, with modern comforts and an amazing fit out - that somehow doesn't feel out of place in the traditional fishing town of Whatchet.

While searching for accommodation in Watchet, I was worried we would have to settle for a very old fashioned 'frilly' guest house.

As luck would have it, Swain House, a new, renovated BnB was recommended and what a lovely spot.

Owner/operator Jason met us on arrival and was lovely for our whole stay.

Breakfast, served in the downstairs communal lounge area, was delicious.

Fresh coffee and truffles were a nice surprise in our room when we arrived.

I would not hesitate recommending this spot to anyone.

Both beautiful, comfortable and tasteful in decoration and fit out.

Five stars, well deserved - we'll be back!

This new b&b is certainly eye candy for those of us who appreciate good design and enjoy seeing new life breathed into what might otherwise be another empty shop building littering our small British towns. Lots of TLC has been taken over the renovation of this property, the house is a joy to be in, great beds, bathrooms and social area/breakfast room. Detail is impeccable - from ipod docking stations in the bedrooms to welcoming home baked flapjack on arrival. The owners have put a lot of thought into making their guests feel welcome, Jason was truly an excellent host.
