“Good Sunday Lunch”
Reviewed August 2, 2014

we were walking the public footpaths around Porlock with our dog, on a really hot day we thought we would have a cold refreshing drink on a hot day, we decided to have some lunch and chose their sunday lunch, very tasty, every part of the meal, really happy with the food and atmosphere.

“Amazing Food - A wee gem in the middle of nowhere”
Reviewed August 2, 2014

Excellent food - you could easily think you are in a Michelin Starred restaurant rather than a pub - and the price is on pub levels!
It would appear that it gets rather busy very quickly so it is wise to book - I was booked for the start of service at 18:30, and on arrival there were already quite a number sitting down and I was advised there may be a slight delay. Can't say i actually noticed a delay, just very enjoyable food.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We are a family run inn/restaurant so word of mouth and positive comments mean so much to us and for my staff that work so hard for us.
Hopefully see you again
Kind regards
Caroline

“A great village pub for ales/ciders connoisseurs”
Reviewed July 31, 2014

This village pub is in the list of CAMRA's good beer guide, so if you want to savour nice local ales/ciders quietly, this pub is highly recommended. The atmosphere is casual and nicely rustic.
Lunch menu is rather mediocre and conservative in general except for today's special, but
this village pub with an interesting history simply attracts the holiday makers and the local alike.

“Great food, friendly staff and a lovely view! ”
Reviewed July 29, 2014 via mobile

Had the Steak & Ale Pie with mash - food was served fast and was very nice after a day of sight-seeing. The Weir is a lovely place to end the day watching the sun set. Good prices and a good range of meals to choose from. Nice relaxed atmosphere.
