Just returned from a weekend at this fantastic site. Some reviews stated there were many rules here?..... I'm glad there are! It makes a refreshing change to stay at a touring site that caters for people who are looking for a nice, quiet, getaway! This site is immaculately kept & there are no unruly kids or teenagers running around everywhere! The touring hardstands are well placed & very level. The grounds of this site are totally immaculate as are the; toilets, showers, laundrette & grey waste areas! There are ample electric hook-ups & water points are very well placed as well.Would I recommend this site to other people? 100% yes!

A lovely,relaxing site.
Grounds and pitches are well maintained and the facilities are excellent & VERY clean.

We took our caravan and had a hardstanding pitch which was well drained and fairly level.

The reception staff are very friendly and welcoming AND the 2 gorgeous moggies might be there to greet you on arrival.

A 5 minute walk takes you into Porlock, which has a couple of good pubs, tea rooms, shops & a butchers.

We visited the "Top" Ship which serves local ales and good food (cooked to order).

A short walk takes you to Porlock Weir where the "Bottom" Ship is located.

Will definately be going back and have already recommended it to fellow caravanners.

Stayed on the camp site from 5th June 2014 until 8th June. Have been going for the last 23 years and still as good! Fantasticaly clean, very organised, very friendly, well maintained. We just keep returning there and would recommend it to anyone and everyone! Well centralised to the village amenities so not too far to stagger back after a night out at the local pubs!! Will be returning again in July for the Beer Festival at the weir. Just love Porlock!

Room Tip: Caravans are all in lovely positions. We camped on D3 pitch, on a bit of a slope but a lot of the p...

A truly outstanding campsite in a lovely setting. We stayed in our tourer for four nights in May 2014. The facilities are excellent, with 'platinum' standard loos & showers. Site staff are very friendly, extremely helpful and work hard to ensure every aspect of the Park is kept looking beautiful. Lots to do and see round and about this beautiful area of Exmoor. Plenty of local walks (bought a book of ten walks based nearby from local tourist information centre). Close to the village, with all you could want, including the excellent Ship Inn. Will definitely return.

We stayed here for three nights right at the end of season - they close for Nov-Feb.

The site is lovely, impeccably clean with well-appointed washrooms and showers. The views all round are delightful and the site is only a couple of minutes walk from the town shops, pubs and restaurants. The beach and Porlock Weir are longer walks away and there are plenty of other options in this lovely area. We found the management efficient and friendly and very willing to provide information.

We would go back without hesitation.

Why bother with flight delays, sheep pens, lost luggage and jet lag. A rest away from it all in this beautifully kept site is the best holiday anyone can need. The faciities are kept spotless, the staff always helpful and friendly and the surrounding area just beautiful. There are so many superb places to walk to. Please do not moan about the rules, they are necessary to keep such a high standard.
