The owners (Nigel & Janet) are welcoming, friendly and attentive to their guests needs. The rooms are very clean, extremely comfortable and have a homely atmosphere. And when it comes to breakfast, be hungry! Additionally, and unusually, Myrtle Cottage is dog friendly, which makes it ideal for those of you with a 'pooch' you don't want to leave at home (or worse, in kennels). Am looking forward to our next stay, already.

Only stayed one night and wish I could have stayed more, the owners Nigel & Janet were delightful, so friendly and welcoming, great breakfast and great recommendation for the Ship just up the road for dinner, Porlock and Porlock Weir are very lovely and worth a visit.

We stayed here for two nights at the start of our SW coast path adventure. From the time I phoned up to book until we left, Nigel and Janet could not have been more helpful. When I said "If you're sure it's not too much trouble" Nigel answered "That's what we're here for". If only everyone in the hospitality business had that ethos! Janet wears a permanent smile, both are incredibly welcoming and helpful, they make an excellent team and we felt we were treated like friends not paying guests.
The room and breakfast were excellent and the cottage is beautifully placed either to walk directly onto the SW coast path or catch a bus to Minehead or Lynmouth and walk back. The nearby pub The Ship (aka Top Ship) is also excellent.

Stayed here for 2 night. Could not be run by a more pleasant couple. Bedroom was perfect, as was the choice of breakfast. To top it all, it is a beautiful old building that has plenty of character. They have done wonders to the garden and I look forward to going back. Thanks.
