I stayed here with my young family and with a group of friends during July. The B&B is situated on a farm with lots of space for kids to run around. This is a really relaxing and calm B&B with six cottage style rooms in a courtyard and with two rooms attached to the main building a feeling of space is created. There is an onsite bbq which we used and the rooms are clean and well maintained with tea and coffee facilities. I didn't explore the surrounding area but the owner was very friendly and was extremely happy to help in any way he could.

This is the perfect country break for those wanting to escape the city with young kids or as a romantic break. I stayed in the room with the conservatory and there was a lot of space, easily enough for a family with 3 children. In summary it was the perfect weekend and I couldn't fault it. I look forward to visiting again.

This is a wonderful B&B. Best food I've had, including in 5 star hotels. Lovely clean, comfortable character-filled yet modern rooms. Quiet with landscaped grounds, beautiful views and very helpful and charming hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. We'll definitely be back!

We stayed over the May bank holiday weekend in room 6. The room was wonderful, with claw-foot bath and private conservatory.

Breakfast was great, with plenty of choice all cooked to a fantastic standard. We also booked some treatments which were well worth it. So nice not to have to go to a spa hotel to enjoy beauty treatments!

We would love to come back!!

I booked a 4 night stay for my boyfriends 30th birthday and it was a great choice. Sam was so helpful and accommodating, he even helped organise balloons, chocolate strawberries and yummy truffles for a surprise.
Their is a great choice for breakfast which is included as well, and the scrambled eggs are amazing.
I would definitely recommend this place as you are located in a lovely quiet area with easy access to Longleat, Bath, Bristol and even Carfdiff, which we managed to do while we were there. Sam and Joss are lovely, it is a great choice

Room Tip: We were in the barn, room 1 which was perfect. You also get great views onto the farm.

We recently stayed in room 6 which was incredible. Sam the host and owner was fanatic and couldn't do enough for us. He also cooks an awesome English breakfast which was included in the rate.

E accommodation was 5star. Room 6 has a roll top bath at the end of the bed and a separate wet room. Not to mention its own private conservatory and further room with bunk beds. The view from the room is great, you look across rolling hills and farm land where goats and chickens stare back at you.

I've stayed in some of the best hotels in the world and this little gem knows how to do hospitality.

We'll be back again! Soon.

Turn off a deep country lane and you find a wonderfully spacious 'b&b'. There are rooms in the big main house (Victorian rectory?). I stayed in one of a further selection set around an attractive courtyard - but you don't have to look at your neighbours. Sheep are gracefully placed outside the window (they are silent) and the peace is a cocoon. Beautifully clean throughout with oodles of hot water and thick towels. One note of caution, don't plan on lunch the following day. The breakfasts are enormous and delicious!
Lovely people, lovely visit. I recommend and will return.

Room Tip: Talk to Sam nicely!

Me and my boyfriend just wanted a comfy b&b to stay in while we were up for the bank holiday weekend for my birthday and visiting Longleat, we saw it online for the price of £170 for 2 nights we couldn't say no. It looked comfy and clean most of all, and was in the middle of nowhere perfect for a romantic get away.
When we turned up, the house and surroundings Were beautiful, Sam the owner was lovely and very inviting, showed us everything we needed to know and took us to our courtyard room. As we were walking out to the courtyard I knew we hit the jackpot, the views of the country side were amazing! And as he opened the door to our room we were gobsmacked, a massive king size bed, high ceilings with wooden beams, the bathroom had a big lion foot bath and a deep rainfall shower, all the fixings were modern and we had a tv flat screen tv.
To be honest when he left us to our room, the first thing we done was open our patio doors to sit on the bed and look at the view. We chilled out as soon as we got there, the breakfast was also amazing, all locally produced food.
They're we're plenty of brilliant pubs in and around the area, and lots to do too, so there's plenty to do in the daytime.
Also as an experienced therapist myself,I would strongly recommend having a treatment with Sarah, the therapist at The Place To Stay, If you want to make your stay ultra relaxing please go and visit her. She is so lovely and even after my amazing 2 hour treatment she made me a cup of tea and I sat out in the conservatory to look at the garden and countryside.
If you want to just get away for a couple of days with your girlfriends or partner and don't want to hear any cars and hustle an bustle of the city then this beautiful retreat is the place to go. Strongly strongly recommended!
