This pub is now called The Corner House. I stayed in one of their single rooms on the top floor. It was a compact room with a spacious en-suite bathroom. The bedroom had been recently refurbished as everything looked new and modern. There were all the necessary mod cons such as a television, hair dryer, tea and coffee facilities in the room. I was glad that despite staying over a weekend and needing to get to bed early due to being on a course, I couldn't hear the people downstairs in the bar-restaurant area. I could however hear some traffic (cars and people!) outside as the pub is just off the main street in Frome. This didn't however stop me from getting a good night's sleep. The only slightly disappointing thing about my stay was the breakfast, there wasn't a great selection of items at the breakfast table, just a few cereals. The first morning there were some yoghurts but not on the second. They did offer toast and a full breakfast to order however not a vegetarian option. Also on the first morning I had to hunt for someone to serve me as no-one was about. Apart from the not so great breakfasts, my stay was a comfortable one and it was just a two minute walk from the very centre of Frome town.

Room Tip: If you want to be as far away from the noise in the bar/restaurant area, ask for a room on the top f...

Difficult to find as recently changed name... Booked it as The Lamb Inn but actually stayed in The Corner House. Stayed there last night as my normal hotel in the area was fully booked. The room was confortable a little attention should be given to cleanliness as there were quite a few cobwebs.
Shame about the plastic hangers in the wardrobe, a per hate of mine...

A few little changes to the bedroom would make it perfect. The chair does not fit under the desk, therefore not possible to work from the desk. The TV is minute, you need binoculars to watch it from the bed. Not enough plugs for a business traveller to plug in all gizmos that require recharging, no light on the desk to work.

Breakfast in the morning was excellent.

I have come to hear that the hotel has recently come under new ownership and it has made such a huge change. I have been a frequent stayer of the The Lamb Inn for quite some time now due to business but it has definitely improved in such a short time and I hear that there are more changed around the corner. I have huge expectations for this place and feel that there are only more positives to come. Recommend this B&B to families or people passing on business.

The Inn is well located in Frome, in easy walking distance of amenities. The Inn itself has a lively bar area and a spacious restaurant. Free Wi Fi is available. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable and the service is exceptional. All the staff went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. They are actually running the Inn to suit their clients rather than to suit themselves. Breakfast was great with a cooked breakfast as well as cereals, croissants, etc., etc. It is reasonably priced and the levels of service exceptional for a bed and breakfast. Well done to Mel and her team.

Friendly service at check-in however certainly not high-quality accommodation. Room very dusty, TV didnot work, and poor consideration of factors which make for an easy stay...practical considerations ie. room to fill kettle from bathroom tap, where was the hairdryer?, poor guide in room about times for breakfast etc.

OK for 1 night. Wouldn't pay the full rate for this or stay any significant length of time

Where do I start, on arrival we were told by the cheery two staff who seemed to be running the pub, restaurant and rooms that they were having a crazy time as they were so busy, so unfortunately pretty much everything on the menu was not available. Strange, seeing as it was 8 pm and the place looked half empty. The stressed pair tried their best but the service was truly awful; they had no system and were just running around looking stressed. Luckily they had meat, which to be fair, was excellent quality. The room was fine but the toilet didn't work and the shower did not drain at all. The best was yet to come though. Breakfast: no coffee as their machine was broken; no sausages or bacon as they had run out; no mushrooms either. Basically, all they had was tomatoes, eggs and toast.

Frankly, this sounds funny, but when you have pre-paid £100 this was no joke and I would not recommend anybody to stay there. Truly awful.

Had a super stay at The Lamb Inn. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and informative. We had dinner there and it was tasty, hot and delicious. The room was spotlessly clean, light and airy and the bathroom had a fab power shower with the added touch of some nice toiletries. Breakfast was relaxed and the chef came out to ask us what we wanted, so it was cooked fresh to order. The bread was so fresh, not your usual thin sliced white! Would go there again if in the area. We used it as a base for Longleat, about a 10-15 min drive away.
