Middle Upcott Farm Bed and Breakfast

I have just returned from a trip to Middle Upcott Farm with my husband and two children (9 and 11) and had such a wonderful time here that I was inspired to write my first ever tripadvisor review. The owners, Barry and Sue, are lovely, gentle people who go the extra mile to make your stay perfect. The farmhouse is warm, cosy and very pretty with breathtaking views. The breakfast was easily the best we have eaten with fresh eggs from the chickens on the farm and locally sourced bacon and sausages. In fact, our children collected eggs from the hen-house both mornings - a real highlight of the trip for them, as well as feeding the horses and playing with the puppies. We will definately be returning and recommending to friends. Barry and Sue: Thank you for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable and David says hello and will collect his puppy next time! Lori
p.s. a trip to Valley of Rocks is a 'must' and only 20 minutes or so away with spectacular views of the sea and almost a guarantee of seeing the beautiful Exmoor ponies

I stayed with my friend and our two horses for two nights. The farm house is perfectly cosy and in a stunning location. Sue and Barry are extremely friendly and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome but also given lots of privacy by way of our own living room and a very comfortable bedroom. We mainly choose the accomodation for the stable facilities. We had two spacious stables ready and waiting for us plus lovely paddocks with plenty of grass for turnout. The riding is spectacular and Barry provided us with instructions, maps and detailed rides to make sure we didn't get lost. It was a fantastic three days and we will definitely be returning.

This was our second stay with Barry and Sue and just as good, if not better than our first visit with our horses. Accommodation, food and general hospitality were brilliant (as always) and we really do feel part of the family. We are already planning next years adventure as why on earth would we ever want to go anywhere else, the perfect home, hosts, area and riding. Being able to sit and eat our delicious breakfast whilst watching our horses grazing in the fields with the log fire warming our backs was pure bliss. The list of what makes this place so wonderful is endless. I would recommend to anyone and everyone!

I have stayed with Barry and Sue on regular fishing trips to Dulverton. Their B&B is a beautifully renovated farm house and they are excellent hosts. Put simply, the best B&B in Dulverton by a distance.

Fantastic hosts, lovely spot (saving to buy the place right now), clean, roomy and tasteful accomodation. All home comforts. Loved the balcony in our room, overlooking the fields and valley below. The pictures don't do the place or views justice. Wish we had chosen to stay longer. Next time...

We absolutely loved this place! Their amount of love and kindness is one you don't usually get to experience unless you go home to see your family. We felt right at home and truly look forward to going back! If you go because of this note, please tell them Amy and Michael say hello and thank you again!

Room Tip: If you want to fall in love ask for the room with the "love" sign above the bed. ;)

I could not recommended this B&B more to people, we had an amazing stay and didn't want to leave.
My boyfriend was competing at the Ironman 70.3 event at Lake Wimbleball and the owners Sue and Barry were the perfect hosts and provided an excellent place to stay. We felt like we were staying will family, it was so welcoming.
The property is set in postcard setting with beautiful views all around. The rooms and bathrooms are extremely clean and comfortable and the dining areas in the house are so homely.
With fresh eggs every morning and the smell of home baked bread to welcome us in the mornings, breakfast was excellent.
We will certainly go back again for another stay.
