This was an ok meal, rather like many of the chain restaurants, the staff were pleasant enough, but it lacks a good atmosphere ,and we also thought our meal was pricey given that it was so ordinary .

Thank chami

We were in Clevedon for a long weekend, called at this pub, I am gluten free, asked the waiter if they did gluten free, "whats that"? I explained no wheat "oh and i dont eat fish" ..."what about the tart you could eat the middle and eat leave the pastry"!! "what about the salmon"? ..."no i said i dont eat fish". "Well how about scampi"..."thats fish"..."oh i dont count scampi as fish"!! excuse me but thats in breadcrumbs.."oh is it" unbelievable!!... So to be on the safe side i ordered the carvery (without gravy) most people were ordering it and i must say it looked very good and a nice plate full.. "sorry none left".....it was only just after 8pm...Well i will have the gammon but Please dont put onion rings on because they are in batter...yes you guessed it.. My friends ordered the beer battered cod and chips..Mine came ..I have had thicker slices of bacon ..it was so over cooked i could hardly chew it..my friends cod came ...very thin and about the size of a beer mat.....A local came and ordered the cod when his came it was a traditional thick long piece of cod.??..The people at the next table had just finished..well i say finished they left most on thier plates.. the waiter asked "everythink ok" .."no said the man i have never had a thinner piece of gammon it was like rubber ..And we waited so long ...we wont eat here again"..All in all the service was slow, in fairness the waiter was doing his best...We were told there would be a 20 min wait ....just over an hour!!..No complaints about the staff (except the gluton thing) but the food terrible.....and for the price of it i expected better...Will not be going to the Moon and Sixpence again...

Good food and generous portions, beer well kept. Stunning view from upstairs balcony of Brunel's Victorian Pier.

We visited on a nice sunny day for something to eat at lunchtime. We went in to the pub to get a menu and see what was on the specials board. As it wasn't too busy we sat outside in the sunshine. The seating area has been slightly improved by the addition of ballustrades and baskets of flowers that help to separate it from the parking area. We both chose the steak baguette but there was a bit of a wait - about 45 minutes which seems a long time for a fairly quick meal to prepare and there weren't many other customers at the time.
When it arrived,it was well cooked and there was a lot of steak inside the baguette. The server person was very pleasant and helpful.
The price was not particularly cheap.
The women's toilets could still do with improvements - two cubicles are squeezed into a very small space that makes it quite awkward in there!
We would go back again as it is a nice setting - particularly when the weather is good enough to sit outside.

We visited twice whilst staying at Walton Park. Great location, very good service. Very good food. On the second evening the owner drove us back to the hotel instead of calling a cab - that was really appreciated. Highly rcommend this venue
