“Good service and value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2014

Having spent a little time looking for a budget option to visit this part of Somerset the Premier Inn proved to be a good option and good value for money.

We were given a warm welcome and the member of staff on reception. Off her own initiative changed us from our allocated room to another as she was concerned that we might be kept awake by rain falling on the skylight in the original room.

The room was clean and tidy and the bed comfortable and these are the first requirements for any budget establishment.

We had the continental breakfast at the Brewers fayre (having had a superb Thai meal at Maliwans the night before). This was fine and the service good.

The hotels location is good in terms of the motorway and other main routes. It is somewhat out of town otherwise and a car a necessity.

Comfortable and good value.

As the title suggests we had another good stay at a premier Inn although this time the noise levels from other guests joining the floor we were on was just too much. The staff here are lovely and a special mention to Becky for her caring attitude and great smile.

The bed however was not great and in hindsight I wish I had complained as it was just terrible to sleep on my side of the bed

Stayed here in February for a couple of nights because of its easy access to places in Somerset we wanted to visit.

The hotel was clean and pleasant and the staff were friendly. No complaints about the hotel, especially at a bargain price!!

The attached Brewers Fayre was pretty awful. The service was atrocious and the food was tepid. Had to ask the staff to clear starters even though one of them had seen that we were finished at least 4 times over a period of 10 minutes!

I would return to the hotel and happily stay there, but would definitely give the attached pub a miss. We ended up driving to Burnham on Sea and having a brilliant curry the 2nd night instead.

Have stayed here a few times. Very convenient for Bridgewater, being just one mile from town centre, a short, well signposted, 7 minute drive away. Staff and service excellent and accommodations very clean. Slight hiccup this time in that the bed was not a comfortable as usual, but I am sure this will be addressed. There's a very good Indian restaurant called Spice Club at 10 Eastover in the town. Prezzo by the Church was also good last visit, but fully booked up this time.

Booking straightforward on the website. Helpful email and text a few days before stay reminding us of how to get there and that heaters/extra duvets were available if needed. Very helpful receptionist on arrival. Virtually no wait in restaurant next door (table booked on arrival at the Premier Inn). Comfy bed and clean room. No noise from outside building during the stay. Cost £25 as booked well ahead.

We booked this hotel for a quick weekend away, one main factor being it had a 'Brewers Fayre' attached to it so we would be able to chill in the evening with a meal and a drink.
We arrived at the Premier Inn which appeared to be on an industrial estate! Our family room was on the ground floor and upon entering our room felt like we had entered a walk in fridge, it was absolutely freezing! A small convector heater was fitted in the corner but was nowhere near efficient enough for the job, the room did have a temperature control but kept switching off so we had to continually get up to turn the heating back on and up! We were cold the whole time this made the room feel very unhomely and not cosy has other Premier Inns we have stayed at. Our 4 year old was cold he slept in with us! No sofa mean't we were fighting over the 1 dining table style chair. We were awaken at 7 am each morning by the guests staying in the room directly above which i can only describe as sounded like they were jumping on a pogo stick!
We went to the Brewers Fayre attached to the Premier Inn for our first evening meal but stayed approx 10 mins as there were children running riot screaming at the top of their lungs and no parents in sight. The floor was dirty with food and serviettes (even our 4 year old said 'Its a mess, its dirty'). we were shown to our table where the waitress in a fashion cleaned our table, left some left over food on the table and proceeded to cover it up with one of our clean serviettes! Absolutely disgusting place!! The only up side of the Premier inn was the car park was free and staff were helpful and friendly, but if looking for a cosy, good nights sleep as the adverts suggest don't stay here!

Room Tip: choose a different hotel to this one!

Clean and comfortable room. Slept well, as we asked for a room away from the garage following previous tips. Had a special deal which made it good value, would probably have done more research for alternatives if paying full price. Very businessman oriented, with poor lighting for applying make-up in the bathroom, and swivel shower head without hose, meaning that it was difficult for ladies to wash their hair. And beware that only 30 minutes wifi per 24 hours is free, which isn't clear when you book. The Brewers Fayre has free unlimited wifi, so walk 20 yards, buy a coffee and surf from there! Otherwise, fine for an overnight stop and far superior to Travelodge from our limited experience.
