Basic, but clean room.
Comfortable bed.
Good restaurant.
Freindly, attentive staff.
I've read some uncomplimentary reviews, but was pleasantly surprised.
One drawback is breakfast doesn't start until 8am

The food was excellent, with a good choice from the menu along with a super service. Waitresses and staff were friendly and very helpful. Super relaxed atmosphere. The level of cleanliness was superb. Had been meaning to visit this restaurant for a while and so glad we did. Would recommend to families, couples or business customers. Cant wait until our next visit.

Stinking attitude towards customer service. My evening meal was under cooked and my wife found a hair in hers When I went up to my room my toliet was blocked when I reported it the own just shrugged his shoulders. And half an hour later sorted it with no apoligy. Will not be coming back to this establishment again.

We had meant to go there for some time. We reserved a table for 7.15pm. The person on the phone never identified herself by name (usually a standard practice for even the travel lodge). When we arrived, the server/waitress never told us her name. There was no personal touch. The place looks like a very sterile Mexican cantina and the music was too loud and inappropriate...certainly not background music. Our stater came with butter, but no butter knife. The lamb shank, for example, was over-priced at £14!!
The garlic bread was paper thin with no garlic. Not great value for money at all.
The place was pretty empty. The staff were effective but appeared inexperienced, e.g. there was no mention of the specials.
All in all, pretty much of a non-experience. Quite dead, really.
Would I eat there again...only if it drastically changed.

We sayed here for 3 nights 20/21/& 22/ The weather was great which always helps and the setting was beautiful.

We had a room which also had a balacony, which made it even more enjoyable as we able to sit out and take in the lovely view.

The room was fine and the bed very comfortable, the bathroom had a huge walkin powerfull shower. I would definatley recommend you request a room with a balcony as there were other rooms without.

We ate there for 2 nights ( as on the sunday they do a carvery which closes at 6.00pm and as we prefer to eat later we went a couple of miles down the road and ate in a pub ( was ok but certainly not as good as the Olive Mill) .

The food and the breakfast at the Olive Mill were lovely all freshley cooked and to a high standard, the staff were welcoming and friendly and we coud not fault them.

My husband had steak one night and the lamb shank the other which he said was very good, I had haddock one night and then Rissotto which again was very nice and all reasonably priced.

When we arrived we had been to Cheddar on the way and had bought some cheese I asked if I could put it in there fridge for the 3 days until we went home which they did, when we left they also gave us a couple of bottles of water for the journey home . All in all we had a great time and would recommend both the accomadation and the restaraunt.

The only thing I can think to say for feedback is that my husband was a little dissapointed that the breakfast didnt have a sausage with it just bacon, I am pretty sure had we asked for one they would have supplied one anyway.

A fabulous setting and great food with a bonus of having a blacony, I would return and recommend.

Room Tip: ask for a balcony room
