We called in at Minh's en route, having located it through Google maps. As we approached my partner reviewed it on Trip Advisor, and we approached with some questions in our minds because some of the reviews were not positive. I said if it doesn't look OK we can go elsewhere. However, it turned out to be really rather good. As we walked in a cheerful waitress immediately placed a complimentary bowl of fresh, warm prawn crackers on the table. A promising start. Prices were good: around £40 for two including drinks, and portions were generous. For reference, soups £3.50, quarter of duck £9.00. The quality of the food was good, not what you would get for £100 in London, but it cost less than half London prices. I am not trying to patronise, but several of the earlier reviews don't seem fair to me given that this is a small local restaurant that is doing a good job. And from the comments of other customers, keeping them happy too. if you want Michelin stars go to Ludlow: if you want an honest, local Chinese, this is really rather good.
