Whittington is very pretty as it has the old castle and moat and the Boote Inn is across the road from them. The menu is very good and not too badly priced. Friendly staff also.

The boote used to be one of our favourite places due to the charming ambiance and lovely home cooked food but we visited recently and we were very disappointed. The food was bland, greasy and vastly overpriced for the poor quality. I hope this place will improve.

As pub meals go this was average. It did not warrant a second visit. There were better options in the village of Whittington.

Went for a meal did not think much of it. Meat looked and tasted like a bit of old leather from a boot. Hence how the place got its name. Will never go there again due to the rude little old man behind the bar.(the owner )

Stayed here Friday 27th.
A twin room number 5.
Paid £45 for bed & breakfast which is a very good price.
Beds I'm afraid need replacing as both creek badly & it's impossible to get a good nights sleep.
My mattress was not too bad (bed by bathroom door) but bed base was at fault.
Breakfast was superb with excellent service, could not fault.
I would definitely stay here again if they do something with those dreadful beds.
