Visited here for lunch in October for lunch with a family friend. The food was excellent and the service friendly and efficient.Plenty of easy parking as well.We reserved a table as there were five of us .It was quite busy so probably worth doing.

“Last night of avery long week”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2013

We made a late booking to stay at the inn on our way home from the nec . The young girl who greeted us was very polite and courteous. The room was clean and tidy and nice and warm. We had a bar meal later in the evening and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was very nicely presented and cooked well . Breakfast the following morning was also of a high standard .would stay there again if in the area .

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2013 via mobile

We went as a group for a birthday meal. The place was fairly busy, we ordered our starters off a limited menu, then we were told couldn't order drinks we had to go to the bar for that. So the party of 8 of us were then splitting to send a few ppl up to a busy bar for drinks. Starters were basic, prawn cocktail was very typical pub grub but all tasted fine.

The mains then came, or well most of them. Maybe if the young waitress had listened to our order more instead of chatting to a young male also there she would have got more than 2 out of 8 sides right! By the time we called her back we received no vegetables and the 4 that ordered potatoes got a bowl of 8 new potatoes between us, half of those were green! The lasagna had no coleslaw with it either, so again calling back the waitress! After hearing good reports it was a let down, and £140 for 8 not inc drinks it was overly priced pub grub really. Any complaints about our orders were ignored as the manager said well only really £4 for veg it's neither here nor there! clearly he was fine with ppl spending and not getting but thankfully it's a place we never need to go back to!

“Always lovely, menu can be limited.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2013 via mobile

Service always good, very good value and lovely atmosphere whenever we go. Personally, I find the menu a bit limited, I'm not a fussy eater but I found there wasn't a huge variety. However, everything is cooked well and portions are big. The pate is delicious, would definitely recommend that; it is the only pate I thoroughly enjoy! Will be returning soon.

“special birthday”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

As I was celebrating a special birthday we went with family and friends for lunch. My daughter-in- law had booked the tables. We all selected our meals which were delivered to the tables very quickly. The choice was excellent from sandwiches to a full meal, which was enjoyed by all.
