“Finishing the evening...”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

Finished the evening in Ye Olde Boote Inn following an open air theatre performance across the road at Whittington Castle. Great atmosphere and draught cider! Will try a meal here next time.

“Nice location”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

We've visited here before many times and would describe it as an old-fashioned homely type of restaurant with friendly staff. The place is clean and it seems as though some of the customers, like us, are regulars. Just a couple of comments - the menu doesn't appear to have changed much for a while so could definitely do with a re-think. The grilled plaice and chips were lovely but would benefit from an accompaniment of veg. Other than that, it's good - and don't forget to take a walk across the road after your meal and visit the duck pond by the castle remains.

“Warm, clean freindly”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

What a lovely country pub. bar area clean and apealing, warm welcome by staff, looks like it has been completly refurbished. Food was very good, prices a little higher than your avarage pub but this is not one of those pubs were you would expect 2 meals for a tenner.Child freindly and they are even allowing dogs into one are of the pub, this is very rare. All in all first class

We have a meal here at least once a week. It's brilliant, the food is fantastic, always top rate. The owners are now considered friends and the girls are great fun, always a smile. If your in the area, it's the best food around.......a must stay.
