We went to the priory after visiting the town. It's a magnificent place and the information audio loop gives a good background of what the priory would have been like.

A beautiful ruined priory, which offered a tranquil and peaceful place to wander around on a summer afternoon. Worth a visit.

The Priory at Much Wenlock is an English Heritage site. In such a small town I was expecting a small ruin but was really suprised at the size of the site and how much of the priory is still standing. If you like ancient monuments then add this one to your list. I think the photographs on here will give you a good taste of the attraction.

Yep, it is, but with an amazing history, visit the town museum to complete the picture! While your there follow the town trail; map on wall outside the museum. It's a lovely small and compact town.
