I was expecting this 17th Century Coaching House to be delightful....and it didn't disappoint!
The rooms were excellently appointed....there was nothing left without thought! LOTS of thought has gone into what the travellers needs/wants and where they might need/want it! For example...being female and needing a hairdryer it was good to not only find one but,,,find one near a plug socket AND a mirror! Minor detail maybe but makes the stay easier!
The staff were helpful and friendly.
We had dinner there as a group of 10 which went reasonably well but I had the gammon and it was very dry,,,unfortunately! If I had not been dining with 9 others I would have requested a change of meal....but I didn't want to hold everyone else up! The food generally wasn't as good as I felt it could/should have been....hence only 4 stars.
However, if I am that way again I would not hesitate to stay here again and WOULD recommend it to others!More
