Our visit to Old Quarry Cottage was faultless. The house was superbly maintained and decorated. The room was well appointed and the breakfast was of a high standard and beautifully cooked. We paid a special winter rate of £55 but at the full rate of £70 it is still underpriced in our opinion. The only slight negative is that there are no street lights and if going out at night you need a torch. This is no reflection on Quarry Cottage though and we would recommend a stay here if you are in the area.

Many thanks for your kind review - especially from a such a seasoned reviewer!
Glad everything was fine for you, but sorry it was our fault that we must have forgotten to remind you to take a couple of small torches by the front door put there specially for when anyone walks down to the pub.
However hope to see you both again some time - it may be lighter then too!
You will be made most welcome.

We have just returned from one nights stay at Old Quarry Cottage. From the minute we arrived Tricia and Anthony made us most welcome in their home. We stayed in room 1 which was decorated with Laura Ashley and very pretty. The room and ensuite were very clean with every need catered for, from a lovely matching china tea service to complement the room to an electric blanket if needed, but the room was heated and very cosy. Breakfast this morning overlooking the garden was totally faultless and the range of choice for breakfast was fantastic. We would recommend this B&B for a lovely attentive service for exploring Shropshire.

Many thanks for your review, and glad you not only enjoyed staying in our Laura Ashley decorated room but also our breakfast too. We have found It does make a difference using locally sourced award winning produce as the taste is certainly better.
Also nice, appreciative guests do bring out the best in us on the welcoming front!
Thank you for all that, and hope to see you both again in the future. Perhaps for a few days next time?
Best wishes, Anthony & Tricia.

The reader can be guaranteed that your stay with Trisha and Anthony will be nothing less than perfect. My wife was doing family research in Shrewsbury (to find the connection between England and the US) and decided to spend our 31st anniversary here. Our stay was beyond and above our HIGHEST expectations. From personal service, to excellence in the cooking and the taking of breakfast in the conservatory, the accommodations, and the attention to detail, we felt like royalty. In fact, our reservations for dinner at The Feathers Inn was even made for us! Another aspect that was appreciated was the time spent getting to know the other guests and the fun that we had in the mornings over breakfast.

The room was large, roomy, and amenities were greatly enjoyed. For a little bit of heaven in England, head to Brockton and the Old Quarry Cottage. I literally cannot find even the first bit of negativity to report--none. Trisha and Anthony have set the bar high for other B&B's on quality of service!

We couldn't fault this delightful B & B. Tricia and Anthony were so accommodating and helpful and made us all feel so welcome. My family and I stayed there using all the rooms in the main house (one twice!) for two nights for a local family wedding and we were all delighted not only with the accommodation but also the delicious breakfasts and the setting too. We were surrounded by the scent of roses and the breakfast room looked out over the most delightful garden. What a lovely haven......thank you!
Helen

We stayed in the coach house suite, a superb self catering suite that's just as the pictures on the website show it. Nice & comfortable with a small patio doored balcony & lovely view so quiet as well just as we like it. We were left cake & fresh milk as well as the usual coffee, tea, biscuits & hot chocolate.
Breakfast was delicious served in the conservatory which is a nice addition to the main house, we were greeted extremely warmly both on arrival yesterday & on going across for breakfast this morning which is always nice.
A very enjoyable night & if we plan to stay in the area again we'll be back!.

Room Tip: Loved the Coach House Suite so quiet.

We have just returned from spending a very pleasant few days in the Coach House Suite at this property. The suite is a self contained flatlet with all amenities, including its own kitchen. It is set apart from the main house and is extremely peaceful - the only sounds being birdsong from the surrounding trees and hedgerows.
Each day we had breakfast in the conservatory of the cottage , which looks out on to a lovely enclosed garden. The breakfast is superb and beautifully prepared.
The cottage is situated in a lovely area and there many nice places to visit.
The owners Tricia and Anthony are wonderful hosts - nothing is too much trouble and you are always made to feel very welcome.
I would recommend this to anyone who wishes to have a completely relaxing holiday.

Many thanks for your extremely kind review especially from such a "seasoned reviewer". We are glad to know that you both enjoyed your latest stay with us as much as on your previous visits. We do try hard to be consistently good and so we are pleased to hear that our efforts are being much appreciated.
Thank you also for reminding us of the quiet and tranquillity at Old Quarry Cottage. Living here we sometimes take these sort of things very much for granted.
Looking forward to welcoming you both once again in the future.
Best wishes, Tricia and Anthony.
