“Unsurpassable Destination - Quality with a Capital Q!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2013

Once again Fran and Maurice excelled with their hosting skills, well thought-out rooms, wonderful breakfast with plenty to eat and an extensive choice of local produce. We arrived on a hot, sweltering afternoon and invited to take tea (or coffee) on the terrace, fantastic! Rooms are spotless and have everything you could possibly wish for. We cannot praise Fran and Maurice enough for again making our stay so enjoyable. We revisited our usual Ludlow and area haunts but also a brilliant Antique 'superstore' at Church Stretton which was well worth a look around. Always plenty to see and do in the area and Fran/Maurice have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the area. We can't wait to return and hope to do so in the not too distant future. Stress free and real value for money, spot on. NB: excellent, well thought out, veggie breakfast as well as the 'full English' on offer.

Room Tip: All rooms are furnished to the highest standard, would recommend all.

Fran and Maurice were fantastic hosts and I very much appreciated the pot of tea and biscuits after a hot day walking and driving. My room was at the back so nice and quiet. Had a bath too which was very welcome!! The room was immaculate as was the rest of the premises. I was directed towards the two nearby pubs for evening meals although I only used the excellent Ragleth Arms. I was generally made to feel very welcome. No question where I will stay if and when I return to this beautiful part of England.
My advice: Go there and stay here!

Room Tip: The back is away from the main road, although that probably makes little difference as Little Strett...

Stayed just 1 night on a cycling tour of Shropshire. A warm & friendly welcome (with tea & biscuits) from Fran & Maurice. They were very helpful with recommendations & advice on local facilities & offered to book a table for our evening meal at the nearby pub. Bedroom & bathroom were immaculate plus an imaginative well stocked mini bar with local ales & ciders (& fresh milk!). Lovely, well cooked breakfast with plenty of options & local produce. Mynd House is a beautiful Edwardian house with perfect hosts, in a lovely quiet village with TWO pub/restaurants only 5 mins walk. Would love to visit Mynd House again - strongly recommended !

High quality accommodation, splendid hosts, exc. breakfast, perfect location, the two best pubs/pub restaurants in the area within 300 metres. Even the weather was v good. What more could you ask?

Two friends and I stayed overnight at Mynd House as part of a cycle touring holiday of Shropshire. The weather was very wet on the afternoon when we arrived - Maurice & Fran couldn't have been kinder or more accommodating and helpful towards three bedraggled cyclists. Help with drying our gear, the pot of tea provided, and the assistance booking a table at a local pub for our evening meal were all deeply appreciated. The suite was excellent, and I'd recommend the area to anyone interested in walking or cycling.

A beautifully presented high quality bed and breakfast establishment set in the hills of Shropshire .all travellers are made very welcome , ideal for hikers and bicycle riders too ,being nicely away from the main A49 with good secure parking beside the house .
The breakfasts offer an amazing range of starters with a delightful , exceptionally tasty full house cooked breakfast , tea or coffee with an insulated jug filled with hot water and a choice of toasts .
A very special relaxing place to stay with good Internet access too . Only 15 minutes to Shrewsbury or Ludlow or simply walk out on to the hills behind the village for hours of traffic free ramblings.

Room Tip: All the rooms are well furnished warm and cosy with good Internet access ..most have a bath I believ...
