We stayed as a group of friends for a 40th birthday for a long weekend in a 3 bedroom lodge with hot tub. We all agreed it was fantastic. From the quality of the lodge design and fittings, to the furnishings and the canadian hot tub it was super. The people are also a real credit to this place, you are made to feel so welcome with lots of little extras in the lodge that we were not expecting!

This place is quite far from 'things to do' but we knew that and were not going to tour around. We took all food and drink and games and spent the weekend holed up in the lodge and the hot tub. In fact we need not have bothered with the games as there is a vast selection in the laundry room. Even though there is no scripted entertainment or facilities i would defy any child to be bored here with what is available in that room alone!

The site is immaculate and has a high percentage of private owners, we did worry about being too noisy but everyone seemed to be so relaxed and we didn't attract any complaints, even when we were in the hot tub at night with the 'disco lights'.

There is a playing field and there are cricket sets etc, there is also a dog field and the lake. There is now a small shop with a good range of local produce and essentials to keep you going, but you would need to bring some main meal food or be prepared to drive to shops or pubs.

Train service from the request stop station (Hopton Heath) at the end of the park which if we were staying longer we would definitely have used, very convenient but check the times there are only a few.

A lovely quality lodge in a beautiful location, perfect for a get away from it all break.

Room Tip: Double room has a good sized en-suite but the bed is really too small for a couple.

We stayed here over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend and it was surprisingly quiet. Our log cabin had a hot tub, which was lovely, but could have done with being a bit more private. Rooms inside were spacious and very clean. The Lamona appliances aren't the best and we had trouble getting the dishwasher to operate, but apart from that it was a perfect holiday. The Lion in Leintwardine is lovely and staff are very friendly and the Jolly Frog is nice for evening meals. Great location to tour around.

Ashlea Pools is a very peaceful holiday park. Beautiful lodge - we stayed in a Kingfisher Plus which was, very well equipped and very spacious. There was a welcome basket with tea, coffee, hot chocolate sachets , milk and biscuits on arrival. We loved the hot tub and large outdoor seating area. Also appreciated the central heating as it snowed during our stay and lodge was very cosy and warm. Very friendly and helpful staff in reception. Plenty of places to visit like Ludlow, and Stokesy Castle. There is a traditional tearoom, Rock Cottage about 2 miles down the road. We also visited Ironbridge which was only about 30 miles away. We would definitely like to stay here again.

Just arrived back from first visit to Ashlea Pools. Stayed 4 nights in a 3 bed lodge with hot tub. The weather wasn't great but it was lovely to come back to a warm and cosy lodge and that fantastic hot tub! Lodge was gorgeous - had everything we needed and was fitted out to such a high standard that we really couldn't ask for more. All 3 bedrooms were spacious, as were both the bathroom and the ensuite shower room. The beds were very comfy and there was loads of storage space. Setting was beautiful and quiet and was a great base for exploring the area. We didn't want to leave and would highly recommend this park.

Have just returned from a 4 day stay in Ashlea Pools and we are so glad we went. When you first arrive at reception you receive a very pleasant welcome. We stayed Monday to Friday and they told us although they were fully booked on the weekends the week we went was quiet so they had upgraded us free of charge which was an added bonus. We were given number 11 and it was immaculate, very clean and fresh smelling. There were 2 bedrooms one with 2 single beds and one double. Both rooms were en-suite and again sparkling clean. There were white fluffy towels supplied and the bath towels were a good size. The living room was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen area was also very spacious with everything you needed, there was even a little welcome basket with tea, coffee etc., and adjoining the kitchen was the dining area.

Outside there was a large decking area with table and four seats and a fenced off area with a good size hot tub. The hot tub was set at a lovely 40 degrees and although it was quite chilly out, once you were in the tub you did not notice the chill factor. It was heaven. We also sat out on the decking watching all the wildlife around the lake. The ducks would come running up whenever they saw us outside for us to feed them and once they had had a bit of bread they would waddle back down to the lake. We also saw rabbits and squirrels and a great variety of different birds. It was idylic.

I would suggest that if you go to this park that you need to take some necessary supplies with you as there is not a shop nearby. The nearest supermarket is in Ludlow and that is about 10 miles away. There is a little shop in the village but you still need to go by car. If you want pubs or wild nights out this country park is not for you but if you want peace and tranquility then I would highly reccomend you stay here but pay that little bit extra and have a cabin with a hot tub.
