“Got a good memory?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

Nostalgia with knobs on. Things you didn't even know you'd forgotten. Everything your mum and granny had, crammed into three floors of what I guess used to be an old chapel. Slightly eccentric owner (an original dolly-bird) who cannot throw anything away. Hoarder with a difference. Good fun and a nice cafe as well.

I actually went in the summer of 2011 with my brother. Awesome collection of memorabilia. Recommend a visit to this hidden treasure where you will see items from your youth!

“what an amazing place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2013

This museum is a life-times work, and has been undertaken with such care. You could easily spend a day inside!!! and lose yourself in the depths of time. Absolutely amazing and well worth several visits!!!

It is actually quite an emotional experience and at times brings a tear to your eye. There is something in the museum from everybody's past and memories of loved ones.

Do take time to make a visit

“More than history”

Spent a couple of hours, in the old Market Hall, lots of displays of mainly 20th century memorabelia. Really interesting and memory jogging.

“Unique museum experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2013

We visited this museum on a quiet Sunday during a long weekend break in the area. I only heard about it from reading a Church Stretton leaflet which only briefly mentioned it so it isn't well advertised, which is a real shame. It really is a hidden gem and well worth a visit. The appearance is a little off-putting, it isn't your standard museum. It basically looks like a jumbled up mass of someone's personal possessions stacked high in seemingly no order, which basically it is. However the sheer volume of artefacts, many of which are just everyday items that everyone in our party either remembered having or had heard of or were interested in. Our party's age range was 9 to 83 and there really was something for everyone to enjoy. The confectionary items, everyday household products and toys were particularly interesting. But there is too much interesting stuff to list here.
Entrance fees were reasonable and Stella the owner was very friendly and welcoming. We were the only visitors at the time and spent about 1 and a half hours in there, and now wished we spent longer. Because of the narrow layout had there been other visitors it would have been a little uncomfortable but as there weren't it was fine.
I would strongly recommend this unique museum experience to anyone interested in our past and I promise that you will be constantly be saying I remember those, or I had one of them, or I liked them, or we threw one of those away! I would visit again if in the area.
