Decided to write a review on Spice Empire after just having yet another fantastic takeaway! We have eaten both in the restaurant and had takeaways over the last 5 years and have to say Si and the gang at Spice Empire are just brilliant, always so welcoming and friendly, the food is always 5* and they will tweak any meal to suit your taste buds :) the best Indian food around! Can highly recommend my favourite..... Tandoori chicken, .... His favourite.....Cheese sagwali... & the kids love the Keema cheese nan breads! and many more! Thanks Spice Empire :)

Went last night for a charity fund raising night, place was sold out. Food was fabulous as always and once again Sayd showed just was a fabulous host he is? Great night for everybody lucky enough to get a table. Thoroughly recommend a visit. Huge thanks to Sayd and his staff for making a great night and hopefully raising plenty of money for a great charity

We visited the Spice Empire again recently as we have a friend who lives in the village - it's become a bit of a tradition to go out for an Indian meal as part of our stay! We had a fantastic meal once again, and the service was very friendly and professional, if a little slow. We didn't really mind though as we were in no rush and happy to have a chilled out evening. The menu is VAST, so make sure you take your time over choosing. They have all the standard dishes you'd expect and a fair few more that I've not heard of elsewhere. The variety of rice and bread accompaniments is amongst the best I've ever seen and didn't disappoint in terms of quality either. I had the chicken achari, which is one of my favourites but not available everywhere. It was outstanding, one of the best I've ever had. My partner had the chicken korai (kerai?), which we both found a bit bland, but that's probably more a matter of taste. I'm surprised by some of the poorer reviews for this restaurant as we're city folk and have lots to choose from in Cardiff, yet not many of them match this place.
