Stayed here two nights and only wished I had discovered Corncroft earlier, as sister lives here. My room had a huge 4 poster bed and lovely clean ensuite. Every comfort thought of. The owner was very pleasant without being too intrusive. Breakfast was very good, especially the full english, which I would recommend.

Stayed at the Corncroft as we were visiting Blenheim Palace with some friends from London who had already booked a B & B in nearby Hailey that had no more vacancies so was recommend to try this Guest House. I am so glad that we did. Richard and his sister Penny run a first class establishment. The guesthouse is well situated, just a few minutes walk from the town centre and there is plenty of on-street parking which is all free. When we arrived Penny met us and showed us to our room which was on the ground floor. It was a spacious room with a four poster bed. There is a kettle in the room, with a tray with coffee, tea, chocolate, milk etc and the nice little touch is the chocolates and shortbread biscuits. We needed a taxi to go over to meet with our friends and this was easily arranged. Breakfast was to die for, Richard cooks a lovely breakfast, best that we have ever had whilst staying away. There was cereal, yoghurt and fruit to start followed by a fully cooked breakfast which consisted of eggs (cooked to however you want them), hash browns, sausages, bacon, black pudding, tomatoes, beans and mushrooms. All this followed by toast and marmalade and on-going tea or coffee. We will definitely use this guesthouse again. Thank you Richard.

Come to Witney often as my stepdaughter and her husband live here. Due to a family occasion we needed to stay overnight and we were recommended the Corncroft. What an excellent choice. The Corncroft is in an excellent position, on one of the main streets in Witney but just enough out of the centre which is just a few minutes walk away. We booked last minute and Richard was very helpful and friendly. The room was lovely, very roomy with an enormous bed, small but clean bathroom and plenty of wardrobe space. We were in a room at the front of the building and I have noticed that some reviews say this is a quiet road. I think this does depend on where you live, as at home we are in the middle of the country with no street lights, so to us this was noisy. However this is no problem to us as we expect this and the heavy curtains kept out the street lighting. Also I must say however that in the early hours (I'm not a particularly good sleeper) the road was very quiet.
Breakfast was served in a large and light dining room and Richard was the perfect host. There was a choice of packet cereals, some fruit and yoghurt and of course the cooked option which we both went for. No complaints just not sure about the children's potato smiley face on my plate, but I just think that's Richards sense of humour.
Would definitely recommend as Witney is an excellent base to explore the Cotswolds and nearby Oxford, with plenty of buses running from the main street. Some excellent shops too from small independent retailers to some of the larger stores, (Next, Waitrose, H & M etc). Do try the Horseshoes across the road, excellent food and beer and Richard eats here too so must be good.

Room Tip: Room 3 plenty of space and lovely big bed.

This is a lovely place to stay, its immaculately clean and the rooms are very well appointed with everything you could ask for.

The owners are very helpful and accommodating for any information you require or requests you have (breakfast cooked freshly to your requirements with lovely fresh coffee)

Personal touches make the difference from the bigger hotels in the area.

Richard was the most lovely host and went well out of his way from the time we made our booking until the moment we left the B&B. We boked nearly all the rooms for a large group of us attending a weding at nearby Caswell House and he made us all feel extremely welcome, even buying us paracetamol ready for our hangovers at breakfast the next morning. We had a four poster bed in our room and it was very comfortable. The whole place was very clean and nice touches like mini chocolate bars on the tea tray made the stay all the better. Richard's dog 'Louis' also made our stay! He is a very well behaved westie who likes to be involved with Richard's work!. We would stay here again and cant thank Richard enough for his kind hospitality. Would recommend staying here if you are attending a wedding at Caswell House, it's approx a 5 minute drive to the venue from the B&B.

I've stayed here a few times now but managed to leave a review - but a recent poor experience elsewhere in Witney, prompts me to congratulate somewhere that gets it right.
Friendly host, very clean, comfortable beds, good breakfasts
Bathrooms not the largest but good showers and spotlessly clean
