Originally booked for one night but on arrival reception were able to accommodate our request for second night. Booked a special offer of bed, breakfast and evening meal package. Hotel easy to find, although it is right next to busy road. Receptionists were extremely helpful and polite and again were able to accommodate my request to move room away from the road as I am a light sleeper.

Stayed in a Coniseur room which was very large, with very comfortable kingside bed. Lovely furnishings. Bathroom modern and clean although a little on the small size compared to the size of the room. Bathroom the same size as the smaller bedrooms.

Expected more toiletries considering we had upgraded to the larger room. Hotel was very clean. Gym was small but functional as was the swimming pool.

Had some trouble with the wifi connection which was frustrating when trying to work. Also had trouble booking beauty treatments at the Spa contained within the hotel, although this was no fault of the hotel as bookings had to be made direct to the Spa, who unfortunately had a sign on the door saying do not disturb for all of my stay plus didn't answer their phone.

Thursday night in restaurant had a great menu selection with outstanding service from Josh Jones who was in charge of the restaurant that night. He is a credit to the Hotel. Food was outstanding, and the breakfast had a great selection. Second night we attended restaurant only to be told there was a sudden change of menu that day, leaving only a choice of four items from each course. We had not been informed of this when booking and the duty manager on the night did not seem to understand our annoyance and was a little flippant in his answer.

He did however eventually allow us to choose from the full menu, although due to his attitude this did spoil our evening a little.

Hotel was perfectly situated for our needs and We would definitely book again.

I stayed here earlier this week as a change from other places nearer the place where I work from time to time and I wasn't disappointed. Got a great rate by contacting the hotel direct after checking them out on laterooms!

The hotel is easy to find, straight off the main road, not far from the A40, and on check in, the staff were polite. The room was bigger than I expected and had a bath and a shower. There were toiletries provided as well as tea and coffee making facilities (and biscuits) as well as a trouser press and plenty of hanging space.

I ate dinner at the hotel with some colleagues and the food was great! plenty of choice and well cooked. I can recommend the pate and the chicken.....lovely! All of my colleagues also commented on how good their food was. Breakfast was also well presented and the quality was great - wide choice of hot and cold items.

The gym was rather small - just a small room, but OK if not busy.

I would stay again - the rate was good and the room was better than I expected.

Stayed here for two nights at the end of October and will definitely be back.
Our room was excellent with great amenities including safe, ironing board and iron, fluffy dressing gowns, good quality toiletries. It was a very spacious room with a little writing desk area and a table for kettle tea/coffee etc as well as an occasional table in the main body of the room.
Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed, duvet and pillows so comfortable we really didn't want to get up in the mornings!
The leisure facilities again were clean and the pool and jacuzzi very relaxing at the end of a day's pottering around Oxford which is a short drive away .
We ate in the restaurant both nights, 1st night hubby and I were on our own and on the 2nd night we were joined by our daughter and her boyfriend, on both occasions we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Service could not be faulted, Ryan in particular was very good.
The breakfast buffet offered a good range of hot food which was replenished frequently avoiding the food getting dried out and an acceptable cold continental selection. The cooked breakfasts were delicious. Unfortunately service at breakfast was hit and miss with the mature female restaurant manager being unfriendly. Her only conversation was to ask our room number (no good morning or hello) and stopped to talk to staff en route to our table (both mornings) leaving us to stand while she delivered orders, then took us close to our table and pointed to it for us. Glad to say other waitresses were more pleasant.

We have stayed at the Four Pillars in Witney several times over th last 5 or 6 years always on a leisure break deal, and for the price we have paid we have never been disappointed. On our recent visit we noticed a few changes particularly with the restaurant which seemed to have improved the choice on the 'all inclusive' Dinner & Bed and Breakfast deal. We travelled with our 9 year old daughter and the children's menu was also excellent and included 3 courses, so no hanging around for her while we had our starters. We had to pay an additional £5 per night for food which included full english breakfast and the 3 course evening meal - quite a bargain!
The staff although busy were helpful and polite. My husband used the small well equipped gym and we all made use of the pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The pool is very small so at peak times does get busy, we found that by going for a swim before breakfast we avoided the crowds and had a good start to the day.
The Cotswold Wildlife Park nearby (just outside Burford) is a fantastic day out for all the family and offers a significant discount (around 20% I think) to Four Pillars guests - we go every time!

Stayed here on many occasions, the rooms are pretty stock; although, they make up for it in other places. The rooms(21) come equipped with: a safe, trouser press, shoe shine, very nice shower accessories, coffee and tea making facilities that include hot chocolate and lovely cookies.

The hotel also boasts a reasonable sized, well equipped gym and swimming pool with jacuzzi. Breakfast is the usual buffet style yet boasts a nice selection of foods to choose from. Also, kippers, poached eggs or omelette's are available on request.

Room Tip: Rooms can be a little noisy over the bar/kitchen
