Not only did we find loads of information about the Oxford Buses, we also found a huge display about The Morris Company based in Cowley. As most of my family was based in Oxfordshire it was interesting to see the buses they travelled on during the war and after.
Displayed are excellently restored buses, (these guys really do take restoration to the top limits) it was full to the brim with information about the buses and the local area transport right back to the turn of the century, fascinating.
Such a lovely group of people, ready to chat to you at any time. Lovely cup of freshly made tea too!

Have just returned from a visit to the Museum. An excellent day out - allow at least 4-5 hours to see all that is ther and enjoy the home made food. The museum is run entirely by volunteers but the whole set up is very proffesional. Although advertised as the Oxford Bus museum anyone with memories of travelling by bus in the past will enjoy themselves and there is a great deal of social history there as well.

Nice that there is the opportunity for "hands on" and climbing onto and into a great number of the vehicles. Good explanatory notes and lots of historical photos and supporting information.

Thouroughly recommended!

Whether your're into old buses or not, (I'm not) you'll love this. It's like a journey back in time and the best thing is.....you can climb onboard the old buses. Great for a day out when it's wet as most of it is under cover. Will definitely be returning soon.

Firstly, don't be under any illusion that this is in Oxford! It's some distance away in Long Hanborough, but once you find it you're in for a great time looking at many historic buses and coaches that worked the Oxford area, and also a great exhibition hall dedicated to Morris Motors. Both displays are well accompanied by informative wall displays. A well laid out collection.

Have spent today at this venue with my Husband and Son for Fathers Day, what a treat, it may be a small venue but there is a lot going on for all ages, highlight of the day, the trip out on a 1950 Double Decker Bus, reminded me of when I clippied in Blackpool in the 70's, punched my own ticket. Everyone was delighted and a chorus of The wheels on the bus go round and round, went down a storm, on site there is a lovely cafe, very reasonably priced, served by 2 lovely ladies, nothing was too much trouble, I am sure everyone today enjoyed their visit to this venue, I know for sure we did. Thank you to the clippie and driver on the bus for making a very memorable day. There is some wheelchair access but not all areas, sadly. This did not spoil the day though.
