Quaint pub which serves very good food. I would recommend, but maybe its because I don't eat out that much I found it slightly expensive.

Excellent Sunday roast, portions are huge and you get a great variety of vegetables. We all had pudding too which was equally as good. We will definitely be returning

Went there for a dinner with colleagues they had the t-bone as specials and everyone had the same. We also got the prawns which were HUGE and excellent.
The T-Bone was amazing and very well cooked. the sides were also very good.

they have a nice little dog that wanders around very amusing!!!

My son has recently moved into the village and we visited with my father-in-Law for him to meet his new great grandson. This was our 2nd visit. We were not impressed the first time believing the food to be "Big is Beautiful" and overpriced. We were persuaded to go back for a second try but were equally disappointed. Four of us ordered fish and chips off the so-called specials board so were expecting freshly cooked flakey fish with fluffy batter. We could not have been more mistaken. Each one was identical in size and shape and looked exactly like the fish you buy from the freezer section of supermarkets. It was two thirds batter and one third rather grey fish. It was tasteless, and soggy with fat. And it was £12.50! With 2 other pubs in East Hendred we wonder why people choose to go here. We will not be returning.
