We went with the kids and the Inlaws, we had a great lunch, service was very good and the food was good, and it was not over the top prices.

A very friendly and casual restaurant. Modern, smart fit out of historic pub building. Quality rather than quantity in all the food, elegantly served. Great quality meats. Very sociable dining options inc. platters, sharing plates etc. Expensive for a pub, but worth it for a special treat.

On our recent visit to england stayed in Thame for a month had the pleasure of eating here on three occusions.
Staff very friendly good service even through always seems busy, very popular place, bit noisey
As a Big man found that portions not very large and menu didnt change much(limited choices) overall found the food good if expensive for what was presented.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and liked drinks by the fire a enjoyable evening was enjoyed

But it was much more than this! Excellent food, one fish dish and one vegetarian, great and friendly service and a nice atmosphere, well worth going out of your way for a visit.
