Ate here on a Saturday night. The staff were very friendly and very accomodating when going off the menu. The ffod was beautifully presented and good quality. The atmosphere was good with a real weloming feel. We were unhurried and had a very enjoyable evening!

We've been to this pub Several times and look upon it as a regular watering hole. Today we went for lunch with our two little ones and had a lovely lunch. The two young ones had burgers which were really excellent and good portions, all obviously freshly cooked and of good quality. My wife and I had a small starter of chicken liver parfait and again no complaints. If you want a good selection of beers and wines coupled with good food and open fires then this is a great pub. In the Summer we have sat outside in an extended large courtyard equipped with high quality furniture and enjoyed many a Summers evening.
Can be very busy at times around the large bar and if anything this can lead to 'who's next' and some people jumping in when we've been waiting for awhile with others. When Sam (landlady) is behind the bar and other more senior staff then this rarely happens and the bar gets managed. That's just nit picking though....enjoy a good pub.

Used this as a half way meet to see some old friends. The place is choc box pretty but Sunday roast was just average, the service was mediocre and the price way over anything the meal justified.

This was a hungry diversion off the M40 and definitely no regrets. Service was friendly and quick even though they were pretty busy and the roast lunch was extremely good. The generous selection of interestingly cooked vegetables was the high point. Would certainly go again!
