Description: Established in Thame since 1996 Mia Capri is not a part of a Restaurant chain. It is an excellent authentic family run Italian Restaurant. The fine food is prepared on-site by owner and chef Antonino ( Tony ).Lidia always provides a warm welcome to our customers and will always do her best to ensure that your visit is a pleasant one.We both originate from the island of Capri where our cooking passion began and developed over years of experience. When we came to Thame we brought with us several very original Italian as well as typical Caprisian recipes to transmit the atmosphere and the magic of Capri to all our valued customers. Our aim is give our customers a truly Mediterranean experience, and we believe that the real secret of our dishes is in loving what we do. All our dishes are home made and prepared with fresh ingredients to achieve the original and typically traditional taste .

“Over priced old fashioned”
Reviewed August 16, 2012

Huge portions but so big you couldn't eat them and very expensive. Too much sauce, too many vegetables, too much tomato, too old menu. Needs to update decor which was dirty and carpets foul. Pizzas good but ont eat in.

“Consistently good food and service”
Reviewed June 12, 2012

This has been our local family-run Italian restaurant for some years, then Prezzo arrived in town and we were worried that Mia Capri would suffer. But this is a place where people who appreciate a personal welcome from Lydia, good quality food cooked beautifully by Tony, and pizzas put together in full view, will continue to visit. Plus, the house wines are very good. From time to time my husband orders simply spaghetti with olive oil, garlic and chilli (and extra chilli), and they are as happy to produce this simple meal as they are my particular favourite - beef fillet medallions with a red wine, garlic and mushroom sauce, which is delicious, and Tony cooks the steak just as I like it. The fish too is good. We don't often have dessert, but if Lydia has made Torta Caprese then it's a must-have! Our most recent visit was Jubilee Bank Holiday Tuesday lunchtime, when we shared a delicious pizza, had a couple of glasses of house red, and coffee. Why would we go anywhere else when you can get such good food in such a friendly atmosphere?

“They just need to review there markup!”
Reviewed May 4, 2012 via mobile

My wife and two children spent a nice early Friday evening here and had a nice visit.
Both my boys had a pizza, I had a single chicken breast and my wife had a steak.
The food was ok, the wine was served in very small glasses(£4.70) we had 2 glasses of ok wine.
The overall price was just short of £100 which was a complete shock!
So if you want authentic Italian cooking this is the place to go, but you'll pay for it and some.
Would not return due to overpricing.
