Wow - We have just returned from a new years break at the Bluewood Lodges, What a fantastic place, from the moment we arrived it was total relaxation, We stayed in the Cupids Lodge which just had 1 bed room, it was a very spacious lodge with the living room and kitchen combined, it was very modern with a flat screen TV on the wall, 2 sofas, dining room table, fridge freezer dish washer, washer, dryer. The bedroom had a kingsize bed with flat screen tv the main bathroom spread the whole width ot the lodge it had a corner wirlpool bath, shower, toilet. just of the bedroom was a small dressing room with had a sauna in it, on the decking outside there was an outside hot tub and a table and chairs
There was about 20 lodges all together on the park, some of them are quite close together and dont have much privacy for the hot tub, our lodge did we couldn't see any one from our decking and had a lovely view of the fields surrounding blue wood park it was very peaceful out there with no disturbance from anyone,
The only thing that could of made our stay better was that as we were staying over the new years break the reception was closed all of new years eve and new years day and we had no pre warning of this. we wanted to hire a BBQ and wasn't able to this as the reception was closed, we phoned the duty worker phone number and was just told no that it wasn't possible, which is fair enough but they had enclosed information in the welcome letter that we could hire a bbq if we wanted but then when we wanted to hire we was just told NO, Just a miner thing but it was a slight disapointment.
The hot tub was lovely and easy to operate it made it extra special being in there on the turn of the new year with champers
The localtion is great with little villages and towns near by and alot of great walks, the local pub isn't up to much the Tollgate Inn - our visit there was spoilt by the clicky locals, and we felt a bit uncomfortable and wasn't really made welcome we got stared at alot and harrassed by a smelly dog that wouldn't leave us alone, we did visit another pub in Stow on the Wold called the Kings Head Inn which was a very friendly but had to drive there as its to far to walk
Over all an extreamly relaxing enjoyable break the log cabbins at bluewood is 5 star luxary accommodation we was very pleased witht the lodge and the sauna and hot tub made our holiday extra special
I would recomend a break here its very peaceful and relaxing
