Non road facing room was quiet, the only noise came from what I think were the cleaners in the upstairs room throwing furniture around.

Restaurant food was pricey but of a very high standard.

Restaurant & bar service is somewhat lacking as there seems to be several people behind the bar with only one person serving drinks at any one time, also waited one hour & 5 minutes for dinner to be served, complained (to Liam the manager) & recieved goodwill gesture, the next evening the dinner arrived within 15 minutes of ordering.

Overall slightly more pricey than other premier inns but adequate stay experienced for a friday & Saturday.

Good evening and thank you for your feedback.

We are pleased that you had a quiet nights sleep, but sorry that you experienced noise from the room above. You are always more than welcome to request a top floor room when making a booking so this doesn't happen again.

Your comments regarding the restaurant have been passed onto the restaurant team so they can improve their service in the future.

Thank you once again, and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

We have stayed in quite a few Premier Inns, and this was a good one ( they mostly are!). Friendly and helpful receptionist. Clean and comfortable room. It is next to a busy road, but as cold weather we didn't need to open the window, I should imagine in summer it could be a problem for some people. Didn't have the breakfast as it seemed too expensive.

staff are lovely and friendly and rooms are clean and comfy..but noise was a problem..and breakfast was cold..i also think that £8.95 is too expensive for a breakfast..and wi fi should be free all the time you are there.x

Room Tip: rear of the hotel should be more quiet

Good morning, and thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Abingdon Premier Inn.

We are extremely pleased that you found the staff lovely and friendly and our rooms clean and comfortable. We are however sorry that your breakfast was cold, and hopefully you did mention this at the time. Our Premier breakfast at £8.25 is 'eat and drink as much as you like', and therefore can be extremely good value, alternatively we have our Continental selection at £5.25.

Thank you once again, and we hope to welcome you back in the future.

It took me a while to find the hotel in the rain and dark, had to ask help from the care home next door. The access is off a very busy road onto what looks like a dead end road. There is no signage by the main road, it is on the side road about 200m down and not illuminated. Anyhow once found the receptionist was friendly and helpful, the room was a standard PI family room - large - with good shower, etc. The room was quite stuffy - just needed air, nothing bad, so I opened the window. I was at the rear and unfortunately couldn't leave it open for long because the extractor from the pub next door was just along the way and the wind was in the wrong direction - could be a problem in summer (if we get one).

Having said all that it was comfortable and clean and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if I am in that area.

I didn't eat because I arrived late and just wanted to relax so can't comment on the pub and food but it looked quite busy.

Stayed here for one night after staying at Banbury Premier Inn the night before. The room we we shown to was very cleane but so huge you would need binoculars to see the small TV in the room. Also the hotel is on a busy roundabout opposite the police station and had no double glazing and was so noisy we asked to change rooms. The only one left was the disabled room which was much quieter with the double glazing installed. They changed us to this one with no problems and were very helpful. It wasn't until we went to bed did we realize the bed was smaller (I double we think) and as my Husband is 6' 4" was rather small. Didn't say anything as didn't want to make anymore fuss. We have stayed at many Premier Inns and most are faultless, but might give this one a miss next time though.

Good afternoon, and thank you for your feedback.

We are sorry to hear that you found your room a little noisy, as mentioned in previous reviews we are having double glazing fiited to the road side rooms.

I know you dealt with the Premier Inn Team Leader during your stay, and glad that you found her assistance helpful. Our staff are available 24 hours should you need to contact reception for any reason whilst you are with us.

Thank you once again for your comments.

This was a larger room than I was expecting, clean and comfortable. I was surprised that even being at the front of the hotel and facing a busy road, there was no noise and I slept soundly.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the food at the Ock Mll, the restaurant adjacent to the hotel, was very good. One of the best steaks I have eaten for a while and cooked perfectly.

Thank you for your feedback.

We are pleased to hear that you had a comfortable stay recently and found your room large and clean. Although we are on the main road, we are in the process of having double glazing fitted to rooms that are on the road side, so it was good to hear that you had a good nights sleep.

It is also lovely to hear that our staff were friendly and helfpul in both the hotel and Ock Mill Beefeater restaurant, where you had an enjoyable meal.

We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
