Went out with friends to celebrate a birthday but wanted to pay individually,
also wanted to use vouchers against the cost of our meal from the main menu.
We were told quite brusquely that the vouchers could not be accepted because we were in a large group, although we stated we were paying individually.
Only after continual discussion were we finally allowed to use the vouchers.
Food average, service very slow and some meals were missed, I thought poor value.
Lived in Abingdon all my 52 years, will not be visiting Ask again and will be telling friends of our experience.

Went on a monday night while the town fair was on. The waitress was incredibly smiley and cheerful and happy to have the food slightly varied (chilli removed from one and added to another). However the food was incredibly slow in arriving, I think over 40 mins when there were really only about 6 tables with people on (and two of those were single diners) was too long. However the offer that we had was two meals for a total of £12.95 was really excellent value when it included everything on the menu.
Would rate as average food, very good waitress and excellent offer. Beautiful building an old chapel.

Restaurant was full however we were able to sit outside with the aid of patio heaters. This was lovely and quiet, as it was very busy inside

Decent italian-like british food. I.e. it's quite heavy. Main-course salad was heartwarming and the pita with rosemary and sea salt was awesome as a starter. It was not too crowded at 7pm on Monday, but closer to 8pm people were getting in.
Very cheerful waitress with a beautiful smile. Extremely helpful.

We all went out about a week ago for a quick bite to eat on a Monday night, could be bothered to cook, I had the Calimari which was great as always and the garlic bread to share with cheese. dinner was great and the kids love it to, will be going again soon
