Just returned from a one night stay over the weekend and have to leave a review as Keith, the owner, couldn’t have been more accommodating. From letting us check in early, to putting glasses in our room for a celebration to even giving us a lift to the station the next day! It’s a lovely unique B&B in a great location for Sherwood Pines and right next to a brilliant pub/restaurant. If you’re looking to stay in the area, you really can’t go wrong here. The only odd thing was all sitting at the same table for breakfast, but my partner enjoyed the breakfast banter with the other guests so was a nice way to start the day.

Room Tip: we stayed in the purple room

Just returned from a one night stay and have to say that we were so impressed right from the start! Beautifully presented from the outside and gets even better when you enter! A very warm welcome from the hosts, who could not be more friendly and helpful. The whole property was absolutely spotless, immaculate room and en suite (very comfortable and perfectly presented). Breakfast was equally impressive, served up by our friendly hosts. The location was great too, short walk to sherwood pines and an even shorter walk to the excellent pub/restaurant, the dog and duck (you really must eat here, fantastic)! All in all, excellent in everyway and great value for money, we've stayed in relatively mediocre accomodation for this price! Our thanks to Keith and Andrea for a great stay......we shall return!!

Very nice house with excellent rooms. Breakfast was very good. The initial reception was a bit frosty but soon warmed, my only negative would be insufficient information in rooms about where to go what to do where to eat and general information about the house such as wifi etc. All in all a good place to stay though.

We stayed at the the Sherwood Forest Lodge whilst watching the Plan B concert at Sherwood Pines. If you are planning a trip into Sherwood Pines for any event then this is the closest place to stay and within easy walking distance of Sherwood Forest. The proprietor, Keith and his wife are very friendly and helpful and the property itself is furnished to a really high standard. We stayed in one of the family rooms and it had a great view and a really nice en suite. Breakfast in the morning was great, good produce, well cooked and just enough to set you up for the day. The only slightly awkward thing being everyone who stays there has breakfast on the same circular table making slightly awkward conversation after a heavy night but this is actually quite quaint.

There is also a nice pub that served excellent food just 50 yards away and well worth a visit. Overall i would recommend this place to anyone whether visiting for a short or long period, for an event or to explore Sherwood and the surrounding area. Like i said, "a little gem" that you will not be disappointed with.

We were in the self catering lodge for 2 nights over Jubilee weekend and it was fantastic! The lodge is decorated to a very high standard with everything anyone would need. The hot tub is a real bonus but it is all top notch. Keith could not have been more welcoming and friendly with lots of useful local knowledge. A gorgeous location with some fantastic walks and beautiful scenery. We'll be going back!

Room Tip: Try the Dog and Duck - even dogs are welcome!
