The cottage was had homely feel and was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The welcome gift of everything needed for a hot cuppa and some lovely cake was perfect. The garden was lovely and good direction for getting sun for most of the day.
It was in a very quiet location on the edge of the village which was lovely. It's location was great for access to good local amenities as well as a variety of places to eat all within walking distance.
Fantastic access for walking and cycling opportunities straight from front door.

“Lovely cottage in a great location”

We have just come back from Northumberland, having spent 4 nights at this lovely cottage in Wooler. The cottage was very clean and tidy and well equipped. On arrival there was a pint of milk and cake waiting for us!

The cottage is ideally located for easy access to all local amenities with a couple of minutes walk to the local shops in Wooler itself.

The cottage is approximately 30 minutes from Holy Island, Bamburgh, Sea Houses and Alnwick.

The tourist information centre in Wooler has plenty of information on different local walking and cycle routes. We opted to do the Humbleton Hill walk which was a relatively easy walk to the top.

We also had a meal at the Milan restaurant which was well worth a visit.

“Cosy Northumbrian Cottage”

We found this cottage very cosy and suitable for our purposes. We are from New Zealand and wanted a place where we could visit some of the places our ancestors came from, both in Northumberland and in the Scottish Borders. Wooler is a very suitable base to do this from and we had a pleasant stay at Whitsun View. There was room for 4 and our son and his girlfriend spent two nights with us as well. It was a little difficult finding which was the exact cottage but a lady at the other end helped us. The entrance road is quite narrow and we were glad we had a smaller car to negotiate it. The only negative was the weather which meant we were not able to sit out in the garden though we did use the produce from it. Hope that was OK!
