“Warm welcome”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

The anchor became a nightly visit during my stay in Wooler. This is a traditional country pub. The drinks were very reasonably priced .The pub was clean and well run. The food in the restaurant was fine and although full the land lady squeezed us in. The Anchor has some rooms and would be worth a stay if in Wooler again.

“A gem if a find!!!”
Reviewed October 3, 2012 via mobile

Ended up here on business, with trepidation! No need to worry, lovely bar, a great welcome, shown to my room ( room 1) I wondered if I was in a 5 star hotel, truly stunning!!
Went down for a drink, excellent service, had one of the best curries (&i like curry) ever (£6.95) .
Breakfast homemade & really tasty.
Thank you, hope I have to call again!
