“wonderfully authentic”
Reviewed June 25, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Would highly recommend this wonderfully authentic cottage. Just a short walk from Seahouses centre and a cosy bolthole to escape with all modern facilities as well as traditional touches of books and games. Reasonably priced too compared to other similar options in the village.

“A wonderful stay ....”
Reviewed May 2, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

The cottage was absolutely perfect, everything you could possibly ask for and in a very quiet location, yet only 10 minutes walk to Seahouses centre. Unfortunately a long weekend just isn't enough !! Thank you Sarah for all the extra touches, wine, sweets and treats for Wilson(the dog). The cottage, beaches, trip to Inner Farne, restaurants exceeded our expectations and we cant wait to return.

we had a lovely time in this great cottage. Having seahouses on the doorstep was great for food. Toys and games were great for kids and the kitchen diner was a lovely space where we spent a lot of time. Sarah's communication is great too and she answers questions really quickly. If we went back to the area, we'd happily stay at the old granary again.

Wonderful cottage. Sarah the owner thinks of everything, including a lovely bottle of "Fiz" to greet you on arrival . Lovely location for exploring the Northumberland coast and an easy walk into Seahouses where there are trips to the Farne Islands and plenty of eating opportunities. Highly recommend the Links Wednesday night steak and wine( two and a bottle of wine for £21.95) Great value and friendly service. Also Elan Italian Restaurant, Peter most welcoming and you can take your own wine for £1 corkage, great gluten free pizza.

“Lovely!”

Loved this well appointed cottage. Quiet and comfortable. If you are taller than 5ft 6 you may struggle with the en suite shower but not a problem for us! Good off street parking. Only 15 minutes to the harbour and shops. Good selection of restaurants, decent sized Co-op, butchers and bakers. Good road links for sightseeing. Would definitely stay here again.

“Fantastic Northumberland”

The Old Granary is ideal for a couple or a family with children. It's a very well equipped and cosy cottage and most importantly it was all clean and ready for us when we arrived.
Having an allocated car park space behind the cottage is very useful.
Location is ideal - about 15 mins walk from the centre of Seahouses.
The area is fantastic - so many things to see and do - beautiful beaches, boat trips, islands to visit, historic towns and castles to name just a few things
The only problem we had was that a week is not long enough so we'll have to return
