My wife and I returned to the Links hotel about one year after our last visit. This time we specifically requested a room within the main building as last time our room was in the annexe above the coffee shop across the car park. On reflection I would choose to stay in the annexe as our room, number 6, was above the bar and it was rather noisy at night, I should add that ear plugs are provided in the room. The room appeared nice and clean until my wife went into the bathroom and saw that the toilet had clearly been used and the bowl marked, this was odd in that everything else was spotless. She cleaned the toilet bowl and later on I saw the proprietor and told her about this and she immediately offered to send someone to clean the bathroom but we said this was not necessary.
We dined in the hotel on our first night and if you like liver I would recommend the liver, bacon and black pudding which was delicious and plentiful along with nicely cooked vegetables.
Despite the bathroom incident I would happily stay here again.More
