Called in here to watch Newcastle match on a Thursday night, big mix of people and quite a few locals but very nice bar staff and pints of Stella just 2.95 which is a great price. Lots of screens showing football if that's your thing, didn't eat here but have heard its very good, would defo visit again if I'm in the area. It's quite a quirky place which I like.

Visited the Links Hotel whilst up in Seahouses for half term. Saw an advert outside the Links Hotel for an offer for 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £20 on Wednesday nights. Booked for the following Wednesday and glad we did as the restaurant was full. The steaks were the nicest we had had in a long time and came with a variety of potatoes and veg. I had potato dauphinois which was delicious and my husband had a massive bowl of chips with his. The red wine included in the meal was very good as well. All in all we had a fantastic meal and would certainly recommend it to anyone who is in the area on a Wednesday night.

We arrived at the hotel aftre 3 oclock in the afternoon and the bedroom was absolutely freezing no heating on the outside temperature was only 3 deg according to car.Went for a walk to find somewhere warm for a coffee non of shops were open so finished up in the Ship Inn which had a lovely log fire. After 2 halves of bitter and 2Brandies we decided to be brave and walk back to the links STILL no heating reported this but took a long time to get some heat in the radiators. When we wanted to get washed and changed for dinner no hot water and it was the same the next morning when we got up.
The good point about the hotel was that the food and the dining room staff were very good.
ON our experience fight shy of room 11 in winter

This hotel (we weren't staying) has probably the best evening food in the whole area. As a party of 12 hungry cyclists, we arrived absolutely ravenous. We couldn't get served till 9pm but they were sooooooh busy (and it was only Monday)...it was well worth the wait. The Links Tower is a starter that will challenge you to finish it and then there is main course. So full that I nearly fell asleep.
We were booked in for breakfast next day for our push up to Edinburgh and "wholesome" doesn't even start to describe it.
It's a must!!
