Description: Pinnacles Famous Restaurant specialises in fish and chips, but also offers healthy salads, pasta dishes and children's meals. Pinnacles has a very friendly atmosphere with efficient and welcoming staff and celebrity chefs 'The Hairy Bikers' are on record as nominating Pinnacles as their favourite fish and chips. Come and try our new hand boned fish, cooked in a special batter that is simply delicious with our superb chips. We have been in business for over twenty years and look forward to welcoming you to our lovely, newly refurbished restaurant in Seahouses. staying in Seahouses for a week, decided to have takeaway for tea one evening, have had fish from here before( takeaway) and by the time we got home it was usually soggy and oily, so tried haggis and chips this time. Everything was being cooked to order as it was quiet, being a bitterly cold night, snow blowing around. It was well worth the wait, best we he have ever had here, thin crispy batter, chips lovely and crispy, and dry. will definitely be back

We saved this meal to our last night and we had cod and chips for two, takeaway. They were the best we have had for a very long time. The fish was fresh, the batter was light and not greasy. The chips were ample portion and we shared one portion of chips between two as the fish portions were so big. Definatley go next time we are in Seahouses

Probably the best fish and chips in the world! Great food not badly priced could do with a few more chips though!

Always go in Pinnacles when in Seahouses. It is the best of what's on offer there & a lovely traditional friendly place. But they also offer a non fish option for members of party who can't eat it and want to join in. Was very impressed with the freshly made pasta bake and 'salad garnish' that was actually a really big side salad! Fish & chips portions huge also. Good value for this busy touristy spot. Service with a smile and they even came to apologise for a small delay for the non-standard order. Fantastic place, food and staff.
Those people who complain online after the event without giving the restaurant a chance to rectify at the time deserve everything they get.

Restaurant quiet, food cooked to order. Fish was certainly not fresh, batter soggy & laden with grease. Portions not great for £7.95. Really disappointed based on a previous visit two years ago. Staff could learn a lot by taking a visit to Whitby and learning how to deliver fabulously fresh, perfectly fried fish with crisp batter! Wonder how long it's been since the Hairy bikers last paid a visit?

I am sorry but I have to take issue with you on several aspects of this review and I’m not entirely sure what you mean by your claim that our fish was not fresh.
If you are trying to say it was frozen or that it was old and stale, I can tell you that our fish is always purchased fresh on a daily basis and we pride ourselves on serving a hand boned, good quality product. We have recently introduced a new style, special batter that is absolutely delicious and if it wasn’t to your taste, I wish you had brought this to our attention at the time. We have also received many compliments with regard to our portion size, which represents excellent value for money. If you prefer the style of fish and chips served in Whitby that is your own personal preference, but I take exception to claims we are not serving a good product here in Seahouses.
