Description: Pinnacles Famous Restaurant specialises in fish and chips, but also offers healthy salads, pasta dishes and children's meals. Pinnacles has a very friendly atmosphere with efficient and welcoming staff and celebrity chefs 'The Hairy Bikers' are on record as nominating Pinnacles as their favourite fish and chips. Come and try our new hand boned fish, cooked in a special batter that is simply delicious with our superb chips. Open all year round, there is a generous takeaway section and a separate, newly refurbished restaurant with enough seating for large groups. We have been in business for over twenty years and look forward to welcoming you to our lovely, newly refurbished restaurant in Seahouses. Opening times: 11am to 7.00pm/9.00pm every day from 1st March to 30th September. From 1st October to 28th February the hours will vary. All published times and dates are a general guide only, so please phone the restaurant for details.

Just had a Moby and chips there today 4/01/12.. It was huge and hung over the plate!!! However it was pricey £7.50 for Cod and Chips... I liked it as they are friendly and allowed the dog in... Suppose to be the hairy Bikers fav Fish and Chip shop?!! There are plenty in the area to choose from.. I would recommend but know others have been disappointed.

Not much wrong with our restaurant then - so why only the ‘average’ rating? Judge us on your own experiences and not on what others might have said. If you think £7.50 is expensive for cod and chips, then you need to get out more.

Seahouses has been a haunt for our family for around 60 years and we love coming for fish and chips.Myself, dad and wife came here last monday 12 th nov and it was fabulous. The jumbo cod supper was massive and the fish was deliciiusly juicy and flakey. The batter was light and crispy and the extras of mushy peas, pot of tea and bread make this excellent value.even if the 5 slices of bread was a little greedy :).The best fish and chips we have had and cant wait to come back.

Many thanks for taking the time to write your great review. Pinnacles really appreciates your custom and we are glad you had a good experience in the restaurant. We are constantly working towards improving our standards and now offer a bigger, hand boned fish, cooked in a new special batter that is simply delicious, together with a more refined and improved method of cooking our chips. We have also introduced table service for everyone eating in the restaurant, instead of the counter service that we had previously.
I hope that you call again soon and try the new improved Pinnacles when you are next in Seahouses.

Visited in October this year, expecting big things, after being recommended by my In-laws (and the Hairy Bikers of course).
My husband enjoyed his fish and chips, but mine were well below par. Fish was tasteless and grey, batter was soggy, greasy and tasteless. My plate was soaked with grease. Chips were pale and lifeless. Mushy peas were runny and luke warm.
Beyond disappointed.
If you want excellent fish and chips - we were thrilled with the Joiners Arms at High Newton about 20 minutes away - they were stonking!!!

You were served two identical plates of fish and chips. Your husband enjoyed his and cleared his plate, while you, who are obviously an extremely fussy eater, found nothing but fault. How is it that your husband enjoyed his meal, which was cooked and served at exactly the same time as your own, but then you embark on a one sided assassination job about our food? If your in-laws recommended us, as you state, then they obviously enjoyed their meals enough to mention us in a favourable light. Do you see a bit of a trend developing here? Everyone in your immediate and extended family appears to like our food except you, but then surprise, surprise it’s you who gets to write the review. If your poor henpecked husband had got a chance to voice his opinion for once, I suggest we would have been reading a very different account. Your blatant advertising for a rival establishment, possibly reveals your true motives for writing this pack of lies.

Title says it all - batter like rock, chips looked as if they had been frozen. Poor value for money.

We do not serve frozen fish and chips and this ‘review’ is a nasty, vindictive attempt to discredit our business by a thoroughly unpleasant individual. If this is how you spend your time, then you should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself, although I’m sure it’s wrong of me to expect a normal emotional response from a low life like you. Crawl back under your rock and don’t ever come back to our restaurant again.

The food was excellent, although the service was a little slow. We had a take-away for a family of 4. Good value for the money.
