I've never written a review on Trip Advisor before, but due to the wonderful time my sister and I had there I felt it was time to do my first. Everything from the moment you arrive until you leave was lovely, homemade cakes in the room, fresh milk in the fridge, fluffy dressing gown I the bathroom. We stayed for a few days having to get up early on the Saturday morning, they left a great selection of things out the night before for breakfast, fresh fruit, lovely bread, dried fruit, cereals, homemade jam, it was lovely, and they even welcomed us take some fruit for our day if needed. Ian and Marion gave great service and we will definitely be back for some more Seahouses hospitality. Thanks

Room Tip: Our room had no bath, but all the others do, although the shower was fantastic, so if you want a bat...

We stayed for three nights in mid-September with our small dog in the Lindisfarne room, which is a small chalet, attached to the riding stables and just across the yard from the main house and it's three further rooms (ours was the only dog-friendly room). The room was warm with large bed and a fridge and microwave. Fresh milk and water was provided along with coffee/tea making facilities, with biscuits and a fresh piece of cake each day.

The bathroom was a wet-room - a good shower, but could do with a screen to prevent the whole bathroom floor getting wet and a heated towel rail (I gather both these are on the agenda to be fitted during the winter). We loved the view from outside our room towards the fields with almost 50 horses (which were not a problem) and the sea beyond.

There was a good choice for breakfast and the "full English" was a great start to the day. Also the Craster Arms in Beadnal was recommended for lunch or evening meals (with a 20% discount for Springwood residents) and was certainly great value. Ian and Marian were lovely friendly hosts and we would certainly stay here again if coming to this part of the world.

Just one word of warning. If taking a dog, book directly with Springwood, not through an agency, as that would ensure getting the Lindisfarne room.

Room Tip: Book direct with Springwood.

What more to say when your rating is excellent. Everything was exactly as previously mentioned in all the reviews. We stayed for 4 nights in our very warm and beautiful bedroom, the bed was the most comfortable with all the extra touches and a fridge. Lovely views of the sea and the horses as this is also a Riding Centre. A warm and welcoming place to stay.

Fabulous views over fields to the sea. Lovely, comfortable, tastefully decorated room with all the little touches and extras. A fridge in the room was an added bonus. Breakfast was delicious and the whole experience was welcoming and relaxing. Would most definitely recommend.

We have just got back from a three night stay in the Dunstanburgh room at springwood B&B it was a really fab room with beautiful views of the sea and countryside some very nice touches home made cakes and sweets on the tea making tray and lots of nice magazines to browse through and a pair of binoculars on the windowsill . The bathroom was lovely and the most important thing the kingsize bed was very comfortable and room always lovely and warm . This couple have thought of everything and there breakfast is just as good with freshly picked mushrooms from outside every morning great stay would definitely stay again .

As a lone female traveller I wanted a reasonably priced room, but not above a pub. I stayed in the annex room out by the stables. This was a room only deal. My queries over breakfast were answered quickly by phone, by the proprietor at the time of booking.

It was fairly easy to find. Just look for the riding school sign on the main road. Check in was swift. The setting is lovely and peaceful with a distant sea view. The cabin is deceptive. Once inside it is lovely and luxurious.

The huge bed was very comfortable. I had the longest nights sleep in a long time. The decor is tasteful. The fridge was stocked with milk, yogurts, OJ, bottled water. The tea tray was equally well stocked with tea, coffee, cuppa soup etc. There was also a microwave, plates, bowls and cutlery.

The bathroom was nice and clean, but the shower wasn't very powerful. The floor does get a little wet, but I discussed this with the owner as I checked out, and the plan is to add a shower screen, to contain the water, which would be a big improvement.

I did get disturbed around 8.30 on Saturday morning by the pony riding children arriving for their lessons. It was mainly the parents watching that had congregated in front of the cabin. May be a sign or small fence could be placed near/around the cabin to say that the seating in front is private for the cabin occupants?? This didn't spoil my morning as I am usually woken by small children before 7am!

I took a trip on Serenity II to the Farne Islands, ate at Neptune fish and chip shop, had a take away from Seahouses Chinese takeaway a few mins down the road ( see other reviews.) The main purpose of my trip was to photograph Bamburgh Castle. I found the best vantage point in Bamburgh village. Take the turn just beyond the castle to a small car park and walk onto the beach.

I Would not hesitate to recommend Springwood. I believe the rooms inside the house are excellent too. This was my first trip to Northumberland and I'd really like to return. I would certainly consider Springwood again.

Room Tip: Choose the cabin for flexibility, or the main house for the full B&B experience.

We stayed in the lindisfarne room which is the seperate annex room. We stayed for 2 nights and all was perfect. The views from the seating area infront of the room were truly beautiful. Just a 10 minute walk into seahouses the room served as a perfect base for our short trip in Northumberland. Would definitely stay again
