Springwood is located on the edge of the village, a comfortable stroll from the harbour. The tranquil location and sea views are delightful. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Thoughtful extras like fresh milk for the drinks tray, a small fridge and home-made tray bake every day set it apart from other B&B's. Waking up surrounded by the fields and horses was lovely.
There is a wide choice for breakfast. Fresh blueberries, strawberries and raspberries, yoghurts, cereals, cereal bars and juice. Followed by a great English, or alternate cooked breakfast - all cooked fresh to order. The sausages and bacon were cooked to perfection, high quality and tasty. Eggs are from their own free range hens. Tea/coffee and toast with preserves round off this delicious start to the day. Ian and Marian make you feel so welcome on arrival. They keep everything running smoothly, are friendly and helpful, but at a discreet distance. Guests have use of a lounge and the free wi-fi is really helpful. We loved our 4 night stay and will be back.
If you are going on a boat trip we recommend Serenity II. A brilliant skipper who really cares about the wildlife. Far superior to the other main operator. For evening meals the Craster Arms at Beadnell is a good choice.More
