The main thing to say about our 4 day stay in this lovely B&B were the breakfasts. They are absolutely to die for! Smoked salmon and scrambled egg, kippers, eggs Benedict apart from the traditional Northumberland (which seems to me to differ form The Great Ulster Fry, The Great Scottish etc. in name only). They are all brilliant and HUGE with home-made bread, butter-not-in-foil, real caffetiere coffee etc.
I personally found the rooms a little "tired" but to be fair the new owners had only just taken over and the rooms were being done up gradually.
Good parking out front and a decent walk into town in the mornings were ideal for a boat trip out to the Farnes. Handy also for Bamburgh Castle.

Room Tip: Go through the breakfast menu-have a diferent dish each day. You will not regret it.

Just had a couple of nights at Wyndgrove over the bank holiday weekend and have to say it was faultless!
The room was huge and the bed was the most comfortable I have slept in!All clean and fresh with very friendly hosts.
Tea and cake on arrival which was lovely and not too far to walk to the beach which was a bonus.
Breakfast was amazing and set us up for a long day on the beach, well for the one sunny day we were there!
Will definately return and would recommend contacting them directly to get best price.

Room Tip: We stayed in 4 poster family room but were showed all the rooms and all were lovely, bright and clea...

Myself and my daughter stayed here for 4 nights and found the place great. We arrived in pouring rain at 8pm and Kath greeted us and provided scones and tea served in the very comfortable lounge. The refreshments were gorgeous and very welcome. Kath allowed us to bring our dog too which is a real bonus as a lot of places are not dog friendly. The room was comfortable and spotless and the breakfasts were first class. Lots of choice and all the hot stuff cooked exactly as you want it. I do agree with past comments about needing a shelf in the shower to place the very nice toiletries that are provided, and also a couple of coat hooks would have been a great help, but I do know that Kath is aware of this and presume she will be putting these things right when she can. Overall we had a lovely stay and were so pleased to find such a gem. I will be reccommending it to all my friends and will most definately stop there again.

Room Tip: We were in room 2 which has a nice outlook over to the road but it was still very quiet. A lovely sp...

Thank you very much for your lovely comments.Your room now has a hook on the back of the bathroom door and we have put in a "caddy" to hold toiletries in the shower.
Thanks for your helpful suggestions I am sure future guests will appreciate them.
Hope to see you again soon

Friendly place to stay, owners welcoming on arrival and girl serving breakfast always makes time for you in morning to stop & have a chat, makes you feel like you are at home with family and not just another customer. Room very spacious, comfy bed, with clean towels everyday and spotlessly clean throughout. Glass showers are gleaming, love to know the secret !! Nothing too much trouble to the owners or the staff, they are all very happy to help you and very friendly.
Would definately recommend this place.

We stayed 2 nights to celebrate a friends birthday. The b&b has just been taken on by the new owners and has had a recent redecoration. our room was very spacious with plenty of storage and very clean with a lovely comfortable big bed. We had home baked biscuits in our room which was a lovely touch. The breakfast were a highlight with many options and well cooked with good portion sizes. Overall fantastic value for money, we really enjoyed our stay and wish Kath all the best in her venture. We hope to be back one day.

Room Tip: Room 1 does not have wifi

Stayed a couple of nights in August. There was a really friendly welcome. The room was light and airy but lacked some small touches, such as a towel rail in the bathroom. It was exceptionally clean and well maintained throughout the stay. The breakfast was first rate and you up for the day.
Nothing appeared to be too much trouble and the impression was that everyone really wanted you to enjoy the stay at Wyndgrove House.
Not sure if £80 per night is good value because I have little knowledge of the rates on the coast but we came away very happy.
About a 10/15 walk to the harbour since the the house is actually in North Sunderland but this is not a problem

Room Tip: We had a front room which was onto the main road in the village. Trafiic noise is not a problem. We...
