Congratulations to Jeff and Jill for their Gold Award from Visit England. Very well deserved. We arrived the evening after St Cuthbert's House had won the award. Jeff and Jill had to race up from Cheltenham to face a full house of guests. That's what I call dedication! My husband and I stayed for two nights in this delightful bed and breakfast. Excellent standard.

We stayed for three nights at St Cuthberts House a top class B&B in Seahouses, just 3 miles from Bamburgh. Very welcoming, friendly and very comfortable accommodation. Breakfasts were everything breakfast should be and there was a mine of information to be gained from the lovely lounge area, which included an honesty bar. A definite candidate for many accolades from those fortunate enough to find this little gem on the Northumberland Coast.

Room Tip: We had a lovely room with a view (through the houses of Bamburgh Castle but I would imagine any one...

We stayed at St Cuthbert's House for six nights from 27th April 2014. We wanted somewhere really special to celebrate our tenth anniversary, and from previous reviews and their website this B&B looked like a good choice.
When we arrived we received a very warm welcome from Jeff and Jill and they were perfect hosts throughout our stay. The information pack in our room was extremely comprehensive but Jeff was always willing to give us further advice on the best places to visit and to eat.
Our room was well furnished and extremely clean and comfortable (it was nice to have proper hangers in the wardrobe rather than the usual anti-theft hotel style).
Jill's cooked breakfasts were gorgeous. There were six choices for the main breakfast and between as we sampled five of them during our stay - all equally tasty.
We can honestly say that this is the best B&B that we have ever stayed at - it really is 5 star in every respect. We are delighted that we picked it for our special occasion and we very much hope to return.

We can only verify what other reviews have said about St Cuthbert's. Jeff and Jill gave us such a warm welcome it really was like going to stay with friends. Everything about this B&B was delightful: the rooms, the extra touches, the food, the beautiful lounge for relaxing after a long day's walking and as previously mentioned, the "honesty bar" with its extensive range of malts. Our only worry is that it will become so well known we won't be able to book another room there! We will definitely be back to this beautiful B&B in this beautiful part of the world.

Read the other reviews, and understand that it is as good as previous guests have said.
This is one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed at. It's comfortable and provides all those comforts you expect when away from home. Jeff & Jill are great hosts who have worked hard to create a gem of a place.

A warm welcome was our first experience of St Cuthbert's, and it just got better. We knew roughly where we wanted to stay but I picked it purely on their website which is excellent and loaded with useful info. The beer and whiskey also attracted Ian's attention and it's the first "honesty bar"' we've seen in a B&B. It gives you faith in the clientele! There are many more lovely touches about the place, thoughtful additions in the rooms (bathrobes, slippers & shaving kits etc) and a "wildlife diary" for us to fill in when we're back from a day out (there are reference books to check what you think you saw). I thought the location might be a downside, but as others have mentioned, the walk back from the village after a few beers and a good meal is a blessing...
Overall, top people and a top place!

Have just returned home from a lovely 2 day break at this wonderful establishment.
We were greeted on our arrival by Jeff who really made us feel very welcome. We were offered a cup of tea and a helping hand with our luggage and then taken upstairs to our room.

The room itself was a nice size with a large window letting in lots of light. Everything was spotlessly clean and presented in a lovely way. The bathroom had a large deep bath and a large shower over the bath.

There are several mains on offer for breakfast which you order the night before if you want to. This means that all the food is cooked fresh for you not left on a hotplate like many other places. Many of the food products are from local suppliers.
Everything was cooked really well.
If you need information about places to go and things to do just ask Jeff who is a font of knowledge about the area.
There is a well stocked bar if you fancy a drink, local beers whiskies and wine.
All in all St Cuthberts is a wonderful place to stay we cant say a bad word about it.
We will definitly be going back and would highly recommend it to any one thinking of visiting Northumberland.
