Stylish and full of character, St Cuthberts reflects the efforts of the charming hosts Jill and Jeff. Sympathetic conversion of the old chapel into a delightful establishment. Our bedroom was faultless and Jeff was able to point us in the right direction with lots of local knowledge when it came to dining out both upmarket and budget! Choose your breakfast the night before if possible from an eclectic selection. Free and reliable WiFI as well.....NO hesitation in recommending them to our friends; we certainly would like to return....

On arrival we were given the warmest welcome and shown to our rooms in the converted church. The rooms are first class and the conversion was done extremely well. The room was well presented with everything you need with excellent free wifi, comfortable beds and excellent en suite.

breakfast was excellent and cooked freshly using local produce and we were made to feel welcome and at home.

I would recommend staying here to anyone and would return again.

Well done to Jeff & Jill on an excellent establishment.

We stayed at St Cuthbert's House for just one night but were made very welcome and had an excellent breakfast. The rooms were lovely and warm and well soundproofed from other rooms. Jeff and Jill were excellent hosts and I would not hesitate to recommend this B&B.

A great 3 nights with warm and also professional hospitality.
Lots of thought and care made the visit a special one..good to have a radio in room, thus avoiding Breakfast TV news! (though a good TV is in room too) Little touches like a micro torch in bedside drawer, tray on floor for muddy shoes.,the well stocked honesty bar.
Jeff's advice is well worth taking re places to eat, trips to take. We enjoyed a friendly and informative boat trip to Farne on the Serenity, and an excellent meal at the Mizen, Bamborough, both recommended by Jeff and now ourselves!

Room Tip: We were very happy with 'Brigid', at the back on first floor. Very quiet.

This was the second time we have stayed at St Cuthbert's B&B in North Sunderland. The warmth of the welcome by Jeff and Jill, the high standard of the bedrooms and the yummy breakfast with a large variety of choice was of the same high standard as on our first visit. There is lots of useful information available in the resident's lounge. There is also a small bar available with reasonably priced drinks. There are lots of good quality places to eat within 20 mins some even on the doorstep. We enjoyed meals at the Castle Inn Bamburgh, Beadnell Towers Hotel in Beadnell and The Jolly Fisherman Inn at Craster. The B&B is well placed to do some lovely walks right on the doorstep. North Sunderland is a lovely quiet village with hardly any through traffic so no problem with road noise when in bed.

Room Tip: All bedrooms have super king size of beds which is a must for us. They are all of the same high qual...

Thanks for your review. One of the most satisfying aspects of running our business is the number of guests who return again and again. We're glad you're amongst them, and we look forward to seeing you again.

We were lucky enough to receive a two night stay here as a birthday gift and it was absolutely brilliant. Jeff & Jill seem to have thought of absolutely everything and combine this with the perfect balance of friendly hospitality coupled with being totally unintrusive. The bedroom was pristine and the breakfasts was probably the best I've ever had anywhere. The B&B is also located in a great spot for exploring the North East coast and makes for a great base. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone - it's absolutely first class.

There is not much to add to the many superlative reviews about St Cuthbert’s! Jeff & Jill seem to have got everything spot on, they make you feel like family too. (this is a Northumbrian characteristic I think!) We had a thoroughly relaxing stay. The musical evenings sound great too.
