Liberty, Alan and Angela really like the old school house. The service was brilliant. We all thought that the breakfast was perfect and there was a lot to eat. Joan is a very kind and helpful lady. We will definitely be coming back to this fantastic guest house. Seahouses is a lovely place to go. We all had a lovely night sleep. The old school house is a brilliant place to go.

I always use trip adviser when my husband and I are looking to stay at a b&b or hotel, & we have stayed in quite a few, but I have never been so pleased with an accommodation that I felt the urge to write a review or to recommend it!
From the moment we arrived we felt very welcomed. Joan & Andrew really take the time to make you feel like more than just a guest & are very friendly & happy to chat. Their children, Charlie & Archie are also very polite & friendly & are also happy to chat if you wish to do so.
We stayed in room 3, & as soon as we walked in we commented on what a fresh & very clean room it was. The bed was very comfortable & the bathroom was spotless. The rooms are cleaned daily, towels replaced & floor vacuumed. For those that are cold or hot blooded, the radiators are all individually controlled by thermostat so you can adjust your room temperature to whatever suits. The room is incredibly quiet & a peaceful night's sleep is guaranteed.
The breakfast choice that is on offer rivals some large hotel chains, however the difference being the quality. We have never tasted such a well cooked appetising breakfast anywhere else! It is cooked to order & comes to you wonderfully hot! There is a good selection of cereal, fruit & yoghurts & a large selection of marmalades & jams for your toast.
It is about a 5 minute walk into the centre of Seahouses, so is very well placed in terms of amenities & location.
We really couldn't fault our stay at all & would highly recommend it. It isn't the only b&b we have stayed in at Seahouses, but it is by far the best & we will definitely be returning.

What a great place to stay from the moment we arrived (early by the way) we were made to feel welcome. The room was large enough, very comfortable and had plenty of storage/hanging room. The complimentary tea and coffee tray was re stocked each day. The breakfast was amazing with a wide choice of cereals and hot food. The owners (really sorry can't remember their names) were very helpful and very knowledgable about the local area giving us good advise when asked. The hotel is about 10 to 15 minutes gentle stroll from the town centre and is in easy reach of good pubs and restaurants. I could go on and on.

Despite the Northumberland weather we had a lovely stay at this B and B Joan was a really nice host and the B and B is really relaxed
The rooms are in a separate part from their home but you use the kitchen for breakfast which was excellent
The rooms were lovely large airy with excellent en suite bedroom and you can't really fault it
It's one of the nicest I've stayed in and will be using it again when in the area
An ideal base for the farne isles lindesfarne banburgh castle and Alnwick highly recommended

We are just back from a lovely two day stay at The Old School House. After doing a bit of research on Tripadvisor it seemed to be perfect for us and our wee dog. So many good reviews though, surely it can't be THAT good? Well, yes, it is THAT good! Then some! Don't miss out on this place when planning a trip to Northumbria. Comfortable, extremely clean and very welcoming. And the breakfast? Joan, you are a star! Delicious and hearty. We crammed a lot in during our stay, Bamburgh, Craster, Low Newton, Lindisfarne, even Whitley Bay! Milo (our wee dog) loved the golden beaches to the degree that he is still sleeping! Would recommend the Bamburgh Castle Inn for a dog friendly place to eat and the Black Swan for a dog friendly place to have a wee nite cap (both in Seahouses). Thanks Joan. I hope "Charlie 118" raised tons for Sport Relief!
