Ate here with a friend and we both opted for the 3 course Christmas menu which was £19.95.
Portions were large and there was a really good variety on he menu. All 3 courses were fresh tasting and good quality and we were given Christmas Crackers which was a nice touch and finished the meal with coffee and homemade mince pies.
For somewhere a little "out of the way" the pub was pretty busy, obviously because of its reputation for good food. Staff were helpful and the place had a nice atmosphere. Will likely return to try the regular menu in the new year.

Almost the best pub food in Northumberland.
Portion sizes are a little on the large size so it is sometimes difficult to manage a desert - which is a shame as there are great!

Our party of 6 visited this restaurant on Friday evening I had the beer battered cod and chips - it was amazing. The restaurant is warm and staff very friendly. The place was very full but we were served in good time. My husband had the Cajan Chicken with choritzo and really enjoyed it. \must try it again when we are in the area again.

Food and drinks were expensive but it's ok if you just go as an occasional treat. Our Sunday lunches were lovely, hot and freshly cooked, my only complaint was that our table was not wide enough to accommodate both of our plates, we were sitting opposite each other as you do and our plates were touching in the middle of the table and hanging off at either side, that's not good.
