Castle View Bed and Breakfast

This is a very practical and excellent location for travellers that we were. We were met by very pleasant and helpful hosts who immediately provided us with a street parking pass and assisted us with various enquiries regarding the small town. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. It provides a very homely atmosphere. The breakfast was of high quality and the hosts were very flexible. We surely will stay at Castleview again and again

We stayed 3 nights here with my Dad, who's a little frail now - and the hosts were really, really kind to us - making great recommendations for places to eat, and really going out of their way to get us special foods - i.e. gluten free bread and soya milk. Also, they kindly made sure that Dad had a ground floor room, which really helped. We felt very well looked after.

Very highly recommended!

Excellent central location, on street parking available with a pass from the hotel. Room we had was very tidy, although not particularly large and with quite a small bathroom. Owner and wife were very pleasant and helpful with guidance on exploring local attractions. Breakfast was good quality and plenty of it. Weather was poor but that didn't detract from the enjoyment of the stay.

we have stayed her twice, once under the previous owners and now under the new owners. It is still the same high standard with a warm welcome and comfortable clean rooms. This time we managed to get one of the larger room which was lovely and spacious, ( we never travel light!) even for just one night, which was a bonus.
Its nice and local for the town centre and the attractions on offer, so the walk back is never too long !
The full cooked breakfast is wonderful with local produce and not too be missed. We have friends in the area and when we plan to head up north its the place to stay. Highly recommended

Stayed here for the first time 17.10.13. Needed a one night stop over. Room compact but had everything I needed, spotlessly clean white bedding and towels, everything sparkling clean and lovely and warm after a cold wet day on the road.A lovely hot shower. Excellent full English breakfast. Wonderful hosts. Would highly recommend, all you need at a good price. David Herbert

Returned to Kent from this excellent guest house yesterday. We stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed a very warm welcome from Peter. We stayed in the Bamburgh room, which had a king size bed and was spacious (a bonus as we were there for the week). Peter cooked a very good 'full english' breakfast every day, and nothing was too much trouble for him, and indeed Kerry who was also a delightful person. We have family in nearby Bedlington and will almost certainly return to this establishment in the near future.

Room Tip: Although on the street, our room was very quiet - there does not seem to be much traffic after 9pm.

Stayed here for 12 nights recently, and was made to feel at home by the wonderful hosts, the room and bathroom were compact but very clean and comfortable. More than adequate for our requirements. Close to all facilities, great breakfast, miss it now I have to get my own. Would recommend it to anyone as it is a great place to stay.
