I stayed at Rothley Lake House B & B for a couple of days in mid December with my brother, it is a truly lovely spot.

The rooms were nicely decorated, the breakfast was excellent and made solely from locally produced ingredients. Katherine was a great host and even provided us with tea and home made scones on our arrival.

The highlight of the B & & is the lake in the garden which is beautiful, there's also lovely short walk you can do through the woods and around the edge of the property.

There's plenty to do in the surrounding areas with great walks along Hadrian's Wall a personal favourite part of the visit.
