After a few drinks in Morpeth we, two couples, decided to go for a meal at the Tandoor Mahal. After a drink and the usual complimentary bombay mix in a booth at the bar we were taken to our table, the restaurant was deserted, most unusual for a Saturday evening, only then did we realise how late it was and that we had been competely unaware of the time. We appreciated that whilst many waiters would have rushed us or we would have picked up negative vibes the staff at the Tandoor Mahal made no attempt to rush us. The meal was of the usual high standard, particularly the pilau rice and naan breads which are second to none.
