“Huge place excellent variety”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Very big but rather impersonal place. Huge selection of products but a bit overwhelming. Plants very pricey. Food was lovely and cafe very comfortable.

Plenty of parking spaces including Disabled. Massive building. Lovely Cafe and reasonably priced food... Usually spend a couple of hours here.

“Coffee Break!!”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

We called today to buy a (rather nice) patio set, and while there decided to have a coffee before heading home to Wooler. I ordered 2 regular filter coffees and the charge was £3.78. It was a very quiet time in the cafe, and we thought that our order had been forgotten as it took over 10 mins for the drinks to be brought to the table. There was no apology from the very "disinterested" waitress, who didn't utter a single word! And the coffees were certainly not worth almost £4!! Certainly won't be "calling for coffee" or any other beverages or food again !!

“day light robbery!!!”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

have been to this cafe on occasions and always felt it was expensive, however we went again hoping it had changed and it was even worse than before. very very expensive and the food not up to scratch for the price you pay. i have had cheaper food in london. my husband ordered soup and a sandwich which was on a meal deal thinking it was any sandwich next to the soup but in fact it was some soggy sandwiches only two varieties and wrapped in cling film did not look appetising at all. i had to wait ages for chips and when i eventually received them without a " sorry for your wait" i was asked did i want any sauces i asked for vinegar and was given two unbranded sachets of drops of vinegar. the slices of cake must have been measured with a ruler to give you the smallest portion they can get away with. the staff are not that pleasant and seem to wander around the serving area doing nothing. i would love to have some shares in this cafe as their profits must be huge with the extortionate prices!!! we spent £38 on a sandwich / 3 x soups / 2x coffees. / 1 x tea./ 1 x water. 1 x portion chips and 1 peach melba. would not go again!!!!
